YOUTH and Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has urged United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema (HH) to be telling the people of Zambia the truth and not lies that would bring confusion and disunity in the country.
Mr Kambwili said there was need for the opposition leader to be telling people the truth on issues that were affecting the country and not lies.
He castigated Mr Hichilema over his remarks that Government had failed to pay Mpelembe Drilling Company ex-workers in Luanshya.
Mr Kambwili said Mr Hichililema had said Government owed Mpelembe Drilling ex-workers money during a radio programme in Kitwe last week.
He said Government did not cause the suffering of the Mpelembe Drilling Company ex- workers but that the company Mr Hichilema was working for which was the receiver, was the one that privatised Luanshya mines.
Mr Kambwili said it was Mr Hichilema’s responsibility to raise money to pay the workers as his company was the receiver in the privatisation of the mine.
“Government is not owing Mpelembe workers any money, I challenge HH to tell the people of Zambia how much Ramcoz was sold for, how much his company got for liquidating Luanshya mines.
“I am reliably informed that his company was paid in full but some employees from Mpelembe Drilling and Copper Refining have not yet been paid, why is he blaming Government and telling the nation lies?” he said.
Meanwhile, the minister called on the party members to stop infighting but instead start fighting the opposition who he said were misleading the nation.
Mr Kambwili urged all members and party officials to unite and remain loyal to the party and not individuals.

Mpelembe drilling was a government asset. HH has never worked for ministry of mines as an employee, he has never provided a tender to anyoneto do anything to governmnet assets, he has never been a technical employeee of ministry of mines, justice and Zambia privatisaion agency. Kambwili should explain the LUANSHYA Gold course and the land around there. He will soon account for it!!!

You are an MP in Luanshya yet you have to be informed by misinformers? You think Sata who detests HH to the bone would not have sent his bull-dog police on him already if such was the case? Don’t tell us you are reliably informed. Just ask your master what happened and come back to tell us “President Sata has told me brah, brah, brah about HH and Mpelembe Drilling”. Giving an explanation on everything especially on what is commonly used as a weak point rests and buriers the issues on case by case situation allowing the individual to move on and lay the issues straight the challenge is on HH to explain and put issues to rest and make minds clear in response to Hon chishimba that is true leadership

HH can not make a public statement. Coopers Water Price were engaged by the Government of the day MMD and they executed their task and gave Government their findings. The government through its agent ZPA decided to go by the advice and sold the mine to Binani group where Mahtani had some interest. Mahtani was a major shareholder of the Binani group and you guys should ask him since he is one of the people that funded PF let him explain how he paid for the RAMCOZ and to whom did he pay the money?
People of bush baby still remember what the decision for HH were people like Gesh elder sakala of mpelembe drilling operating officer very upright and respected the kasonkomonas and the mulongotis including other well meaning citizens of luanshya not to mention the people of mikofwa.The whole cream of former zccm bosses know what HH did its something that is documented
