UPND’S POLITICS OF INFLATED EGOS AND SPOILERS
The statements from the UPND following the outcome of the Katuba by election have made some interesting reading. As MMD youths, we have come to a conclusion that the UPND is over stating the significance of the Katuba victory.
The recent statement attributed to UPND Deputy Spokesman Cornelius Mweetwa that the MMD is a spoiler cannot go unchallenged.
As MMD youths, we wish to remind Mr Mweetwa that MMD is a mother of democracy in Zambia. This is the political party credited locally and internationally of introducing and strengthening multi-party democracy in this country.
By labeling the MMD as spoilers, Mr Mweetwa is deliberately attempting to alter history and satisfy his over rated political ego.
The MMD has played a significant role in Zambia’s development and any attempts by Mr Mweetwa and the UPND to rewrite history will not succeed.
All right thinking members of our great nation will agree that if there is any spoiler in our political history it has to be given to the UPND.
Throughout its history, the UPND has done more harm than good to our democracy because of its tribal and regional centered focus.
We wish to remind Mr Mweetwa and the UPND that just recently they rushed to contest the Mansa Central by election, an election they had no chance in hell of winning and their candidate lost miserably.
The UPND insisted on fielding a candidate in Mansa Central even when there was an understanding with the MMD to field a common candidate.
The UPND played spoiler in Mansa Central as it has always done to Zambian politics.
It is therefore illogical and pretentious for Mr Mweetwa to label the MMD spoilers when it attempts to defend its own seat in Katuba. We believe that if there was any political party that had a moral and political reason to win Katuba, it was the MMD.
We suggest that Mr Mweetwa should restrain himself from commenting in issues that he clearly does not understand.
We however will not blame Mr Mweetwa’s narrow approach to politics because he is still at nursery level learning how to practice the art of politics.
As MMD youths, we have not forgotten how Mr Mweetwa as UNZASU President just a few years ago was mobilizing students at UNZA in stone throwing activities at innocent people’s vehicles and property.
It is not shocking that this is the same man who wishes to mislead the Zambian people by issuing statements that cannot be substantiated.
Our message to the Zambians is that you fully know the record of the MMD in protecting and nurturing the state of our democracy. All the governance institutions worth talking about today were set up by the MMD government.
MMD is a party that is now on a serious rebuilding mission. Detractors such as Mr Mweetwa and the UPND will not derail our men and women in the MMD led by our charismatic and proven public worker Dr Nevers Mumba in taking the MMD back to State House in 2016.

UNIP brought independence and where is it now politically. UPND lost miserably in Mansa and how did MMD fair in Mansa? UPND went to contest in Mansa with no hope of winning it but MMD went into Katuba with no hope of winning it. This is intellectual bankruptcy. If you cannot analyse issues intelligently just shut up.
As I said earlier,the UPND are so adamant about their ego and they’ve just decided to refuse any advise and not to listen to the voice of reason.Mweetwa is just a political novice,who is doing more harm to UP n Down Party(UPND).In 2016 wina azalila.

Lusambo forgot to also say, apart from introducing multi party democracy, they also introduced corruption and dribbling over the constitution, which are the two vices Zambians are unhappy about with the PF. Moreover clinging to MMD is like clinging to UNIP. Just like UNIP will never come back to power even after giving us independence, MMD will never bounce back to power. All the ills we are fighting against were introduced by MMD. For Lusambos information, UPND is the only party that will bring economic ind ependence to Zambia. While UPND is gaining and becoming national in character, MMD is becoming regional in nature. That is why Nevers was heard of late saying their base isEastern province????? Soon MMD will have no base at all when the men from the east join the UPND fully to support
Lusambo should either leave politics or join with progressive politics. Yapping for Nevers Mumba when hehas already sold MMD to PF also. You know your boss from the past. Why do you think he has surbodinated himself to people running one man parties? MMD has been sold already to split the opposition vote. How can you explain going into alliance with insignificant parties when UPND is there to partner with and make an impact. MMD is just a spoiler come 2016. Lusambo will understand as wegoahead that some of the ordained pipo he is supporting today are already chewing big time from PF to disorganise the opposition.

Maybe a cow driven constitution will materialise a lot quicker since cattle are stronger animals. The current monkey driven constitution is taking too long to materialise because most of the monkeys are busy stealing instead of helping to pull the constitution along.

Bowman, please calm down. There is no need for this.The MMD needs a serious and honest reflection. In 2011 The MMD won Katuba seat by over 6,500 votes. in 2014 you can only amass 657 votes. How is it that in just two years your popularity has miserably plummeted to such levels .MMD is the only political party managed by DOCTORS in the office of Presidency (DR.Nevers Mumba, Dr.Brian Chituwo and DR.Michael Kaingu). It appears to me that Your Doctors are Political Failures. It is time Lusambo , for MMD to have a leadership Change. Speak for Change and you will be relevant. Bring In Dr.Situmbeko Musokotwane and Mr. Felix Mutati into the presidency and remove those failing DOCTORS.

I stand here to correct the wrong information given out by Bowman Lusambo ….its a blue lie to claim that MMD introduced multiparty democracy in Zambia. May I inform Mr Lusambo that in 1963, 1964 and many years later Zambia had elections with a number of parties taking part. Until the introduction of the One Party State Zambia had always been a multiparty democracy. So claiming that MMD introduced multiparty democracy in Zambia is nothing but an attempt to rewrite the history of Zambia. Yes we need to give credit where its due and we credit the MMD for being part of men and women that worked to re introduce multiparty democracy in Zambia
Zambians should be forewarned that if not careful PF Bemba Politics can be replaced by the UPND Tonga Politics,which can seem as revenge.The time when the late Mazoka was leading in votes,one Tonga man was heard saying that “Tu kolwe out at State House and Kwanzila g’ombe”.People of Zambia should guard against tribal politics not to take root.The result can even be worse.
