Zanaco shoot to number two, Indeni win…finally

Share

Zanaco have moved into second place after a resounding 4-0 home win over promoted Nakambala Leopards at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.

The six-time champions moved from fifth and up to number two displacing Zesco United who drop down to third place thanks to an inferior goal difference.

Zanaco took a 1-0 halftime lead through Aubrey Zulu in the 42nd minute after turning Roderick Kabwe’s free kick.

Kabwe got in on the act in the 48th minute before Moses Phiri hit the target twice in the 78th and 81st minute to keep Zanaco’s eight-year unbeaten home run against Nakambala intact.

Nakambala have yet to even pick up an away point against Zanaco since making their top-flight debut in 2006.

Meanwhile, promoted Indeni took the five hour drive back to Ndola from Lusaka in celebratory mood after beating hosts Napsa Stars 1-0 in the late kickoff of Sunday’s doubleheader at Woodlands Stadium.

Joe Besa’s 55th minute goal handed Indeni its first win of the season after earlier picking up just two points in their last six games.

Indeni move three places out of the relegation zone from 14th to 12th after that vital away win that also saw Napsa lose for the first time this season.

Napsa stay in fifth place on 12 points despite their shock home loss today.

  1. “Jesus Not Coming Back By The Looks Of It” Admits Vatican
A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican has officially announced that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am…

  2. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.
“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.
