Don’t compare UPND to PF, the two parties are a sea apart-HH

hichilema

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says it is unfair to compare the opposition UPND to the ruling party, the PF.

Mr Hichilema said the two political parties are fundamentally different and that there is no basis for comparison.

He said people that say the UPND should not be treated because it could fail like the PF has allegedly failed are not being fair to the UPND.

“Surely you cannot compare the PF to the UPND, we are fundamentally different from the PF. We are a sea apart, ”Mr Hichilema said.

Mr Hichilema said Zambians should vote for the UPND in 2016 because its leadership has never been tested.

He was speaking Thursday evening when he featured on the Let the People Talk radio programme on Radio Phoenix.

[pullquote]“Why should we have all those people selling on the streets if the PF is creating jobs?”[/pullquote]

“We are saying trust us with the governance of this country. We will change the course of this country and put in on the track to social and economic development. Don’t say politicians are the same, I refuse to accept that because I can never be compared to Mr Sata, we are very different in so many ways.”

Mr Hichilema said the UPND is a collection of men and women of high integrity who have given themselves up for leadership of this country while the PF does not offer any credible leadership.

“There is no basis for comparison, maybe this is why the pact failed,” he said.

Mr Hichilema also castigated the PF government for the mounting public debt accrued over the two and half years of the PF government.

“They are borrowing recklessly without a plan. This debt will soon start chocking the economy with all these debt repayments and in most cases they are borrowing for consumption. This is being irresponsible.”

He said the UPND in government will prioritise domestic revenue mobilisation and dismantling the over 4 billion US dollars in external debt.

“What is every more worrying is that they are not only borrowing internationally but they are also busy borrowing from the domestic market and now crowding out the private sector. You cannot create jobs when the private sector’s access to credit is constrained because the state is borrowing every day,” he said.

Mr Hichilema also rubbished claims that the PF government has created over 600,000 jobs since it took over in 2011.

“The PF does not even know the internationally agreed definition of a job, according to the ILO, a job should have a reasonable tenure and a reasonable wage and access to pension or gratuity. The jobs created by the PF to push wheelbarrows and a shovel are not jobs.”

Mr Hichilema said members of the public interested should check the figures at Zambia Revenue Authority to understand that the PF has not added 600,000 to the job bracket.

“Why should we have all those people selling on the streets if the PF is creating jobs?”

    • It will be interesting to see how all you PF cadres and cheerleaders will answer the one vital question that HH has asked.

“Why should we have all those people selling on the streets if the PF is creating jobs?”

Let us see if you can intellectually close the gap between UPND and PF which as as wide as the sea

    • ”He said the UPND in government will prioritise domestic revenue mobilisation”..Dreamers!! Can you build Mongu-Kalabo Road with domestic revenue? from where? taxing KCM or Shoprite? Dreamer!! Good for PF to borrow and do our roads, than the way money was being stolen by MMD.
Ati UPND is a collection of men&women of integrity. boasting of intergrity when you have not been tested? Get into gvt first and we see your intrigrity. at the moment we can rate all of you as a bunch of useless policians with no proper Agenda for this countries. Men of integrity when you have been encouraging violence in your party.

    • You come and talk to me once you get elected on merit HH.We all know that you are president of that party because of your tribe. You came in on a tribal ballot pushing out other more capable people like Chisanga and Sakwiba Sikota. You are a pathetic with your pathetic Bantu-botatwe infested party.

    • @ Chief Boot Licker,
While I wouldnt define myself as a PF cheer leader, I couldnt help but solely felt like diving in for dear PF even though I have a soft spot for HH.
First of all, lets iron out issues here….. In as much as any Government of the day is entirely responsible for securing and providing for it’s peoples basic needs in life, I also believe that the people should be their own driving force in creating and finding work. Both sides have to meet each other half way, well….. In Zambia people wait for the government to single handedly fend for them, so many examples here to which I will skip pointing out for they are obvious!
Were does the private sector in ensuring soridarty to the masses come in? What are the parents teaching their own on self reliance?

    • Contd:
@ Chief the problem with people in this life is, we all want it easy and have every excuse for how we couldnt get from point A to B. Yes Jobs are everywhere in Zambia and that am 100% sure of. Just take for example how dirty the cities are, there lies a hundred fold of jobs, if GRZ ignore to generate funds for projects to help get people working, private sectors can get in as well as NGOs.
We cant all be marketeers, Lodge owners, gabbage collectors, with the pace the world is changing and going global, access to advanced technology, I fell to understand how anyone can sit idle and expect help to come from a politician knowing very well how greedy we have become!
Get up and out, do something for yourself before help comes knocking from somewhere.

    • @ The Boot Licker,
So many good ideas and dreams dying without even having had a chance to be manifested because Zambians are waiting for PF to arrive. In an Idea world, people would be thirsty and hungry to make it.
Yes PF have to be pinched and squeezed so that they stay afloat to keep the country alive, but what are the people doing to help^change their own lives? No one told me that it would be easy, besides life is not cheap nor is it for free. It’s about time people became proud and made their own life, yes It may be hard but what are your chances of getting out of that situation if you cant even move a step forward with half an assissted push?

    • Ba Chief,
What can you say about someone who keeps wallowing in the filthy dirty of mud even if they get a bit of healthy enzimes from it on command from a Doctor but three quartes of the side effects are much far worse if prolonged, when they themselves have a chance to pull out instead of waiting for the doctors command who has rushed out but couldnt get back on time?
Lastly, I never understand anyone that compare certain activities in life that are varried in shape and form even though their goal maybe the same. Life takes many routes and roads but the destination is the same so asking to take the exact same route and road is a bit shallow! Am sorry doing so gives me a chance to judge peoples reasoning!

    • Highly interlligent beings are never one sided nor impartial, the truce in honesty and doing the right thing is what they take pride in and nothing else matters nomatter the consquencies so cadres and bloggers……..there you have it!

    • @Cindy you are so knowledgeable and wise.Wish i can find a woman like you(Hoping you are a woman.Lol).It is just a pity that all your wise words will fall on deaf hears because the last thing the anti-PF people wants to hear is anything putting PF in a positive sense. In Africa when you are in the opposition it means you must opposite anything from the ruling party without stopping to think whether it is good or not, hence i`m afraid that your attempt to counsel Chief Bootlicker and others won`t work.Keep it up mama.

    • Yes Cindy you were just wasting time writing all that. These opposition can’t think outside their box.I just love how you balance your analysis’s as if you are not from the opposition yourself. You are a cut above the rest.

    • Cindy, nice job you have done here in trying to close the gap intellectually and your points of two way traffic between government and the people are correct.

I think PF just needs to get busy and get to work than pushing this 600 000 jobs for ever in our face and yet we don’t even see any effect. For your own info , ZCCM at its peak employed 65 000 people and we know the impact that had on the CB, if the numbers PF is throwing are genuine, we would see the CB impact 10 times over. Can’t you see through this?

And God forbid, this PF lying train is on onto the Bumper Harvest. Again truth will be measured in the reduced meal meal price and not facebook post.

      That is my point

    • Saulosi and Cindy, why are not in zambia. if its not because of seeking a better life why dont you go back and try dong what you have just said. High commodity prices, fuel pump prices mealiemeal are choking the very people you want to work hard. Let the PF sort this mess first.

    • @Zambian Killers; your analysis is interesting indeed. Going by your school of thought, that local mobilization of resources cannot build the Mongu – Kalabo road is a good one. However, if you borrow to build that road, where are you going to get money to repay the loan? In other words you are confirming that PF has borrowed beyond the capacity of this economy right? And if the answer is yes, then, there comes another debt trap in making, thanks to PF borrowing without considering your analysis. If you are wrong, then local resource mobilization can build the road in question.

    • @MMD Chief Bootlicker,

Street Vendors are Entrepreneurs! Some of them will graduate into big businessmen! Don’t kill that spirit.

Besides, even the filth can be a business opportunity. Technology applications in recycling, re-using, rehabilitating as well as pure cleaning and damping can be a source of employment. Ba MMD are always fickle in mind. Afraid of what this and that one will think of them.

    • William “Tekere” Banda a special technical & political advisor to HH has never been tested and so, he is completely new to the political landscape of the country. Can we all agree to HH’s statement??? Bubela, bubeela bwatama, kesha bakakuyuka!

    • Cindy,

The government, according to you, is “entirely responsible for securing and providing for it’s peoples basic needs in life” but you go on contradicting yourself and blaming the people. Let’s make it plain, government is supposed to lead. Leadership involves looking at weaknesses and wrong mindsets in the populace and helping them improve. Why hasn’t the PF started changing the people’s mindsets (if indeed that is the problem)? Are they really leading? They are, in fact, happy that the young people are poor and can be manipulated by gifts for votes.

    • @Cindy

I beg to differ with you on your assertion that Zambian people rely on the government too much for their lively hood. I think you have totally lost the argument on this one.

I personally do not remember a time when the Zambian government ever helped people with handouts such as free mealimeal since KK era. What I remember is KK tried to give people coupons for his political survival when he could not control increasing food prices.

The people of Zambia are not asking for too much. All they want is a sensible government that does not listen to the demands of the shylockers who lend them but the people who voted for them. The only help they expect from the government is to subsidise fuel and staple food so that poor can at least manage to feed their families without stress.

    • @Cindy

Even here in the UK and many developed countries subsidies are still in force one way or the other. Here in the UK they have re-branded subsidies to pretend as though they do not subsidise poor people’s lively hood and yet they do through social benefits. I you look at the expenditure on social benefits here in the UK, its huge and dwarfs all other expenditures including health care and ministry of defence.

The problem we have with half baked unschooled politicians like Sata and his minions is that they do not care about the plight of the poor as long as they borrow on hash terms that requires them to forget the poor it s ok because all that money will end up in their fat accounts with very little left for the poor. The irony is its the poor who pays the huge price for…

    • @Cindy

To be honest I find your argument shocking, given the fact that you have lived in the developed countries long enough and know exactly how they try the hardest to make sure that every jim and jactk has descend shelter and food.

The reason why governments are elected in power is to provide leadership on how to help the majority poor who cant stand on their own two feet. Besides the majority voters in any election are the poor. They make their way to the polling station at the earliest possible time to cast a vote with the hope and faith that who ever they vote for will better their lives by ensuring that food and descend shelter are affordable.

Its a shame Sata and his minions used the poor to get power. And once there they have totally forgotten and ignored the poor

    • That said, lets not beat about the bush here, UPND and HH are the only party of hope and help that the Zambian people believe will restore Zambia to Mwanawasa’s standard in which the kwacha appreciated by over 50%. When Mwanawasa took over £1 was K10000. But within his first term he managed to half that to £1 to K5000. This is what we mean we say we need educated, honest and wise people at the helm of power like HH in Zambia.

PF have resorted to violence to prevent HH from spread his good message. What a shame! For now, we in UPND are watching the violent PF get away with their idi0cy with impunity. But come election year 2016, we will rise and challenge them hands down and they know it very well, that we are the majority.

Viva UPND and HH. I am in no doubt!

  1. Brother HH there is a lot of good will out there a lot of people would like to support you especially former snr civil servants in mmd but access to you and your home is almost impossible, its easier to see the pope than you mr. HH

    • yes, its easy to see the pope coz he’s a devil. thats how the devil lures foolish ones. its easy to sin than to be righteous. if you want HH just listen to the sense he is telling you and make a decision, kwasila

  2. You are absolutely right HH, the two parties are a sea apart in that UPND does not yet have enough horse power or muscle behind it to oust PF out of Govt. We simply don’t have a strong opposition party in Zambia to send shivers down PF’s spine. Sad state of affairs 🙁

  3. This Guy is hallucinating…..no wait he is absolutely right UNPD and PF are millions of miles apart in that UPND is not strong enough to oust of even shake PF out of Govt. PF has lost the confidence of many Zambians but I don’t see any opposition party strong enough to stand toe to toe with PF. We are doomed!

  4. All those against HH are just burying their heads in the sand. Do you surely believe that PF and its government can be compared to UPND? Come on people stop getting to a level of being called useful *****s by standing with the failed PF. Dont be vuvuzelas

  5. Every time HH opens his mouth, you learn something new that can make Zambia prosperous. But more importantly, he has invaluable skills in fighting against poverty through job creation. His comprehension of property rights is meaningfully linked to poverty alleviation. He is one of the top three entrepreneurs in this country employing hundreds of people both in rural and urban areas.

Therefore, Job creation is one of his strong suits. If voted into power, with more resources available, he can create more real jobs for the unemployed masses.

Without seeking publicity he fulfils his obligation as an entrepreneur by acting to benefit society at large. He is supporting the construction of schools, clinics, houses, and supporting many learners through scholarships. These are noble…

  6. It is high time we earnestly reflected as a nation on the type of leadership we need after 2016. This country does not need a leader whose specialties are swearing in relatives and arresting opposition leaders but a leader who understands the relationship between corporate governance and firm operational performance. A leader like HH who knows that better corporate governance is essential to higher returns on assets be it on national or sectorial or company level.

Some people wonder why his business empire keeps on breeding even in times of economic shocks. The secret is in the quality of his corporate leadership and this has made people to take him as a role model for better corporate leadership. His know-how plays an important role in determining the behaviour of his business…

  7. Yes they are a sea apart because one party is mainly concentrated in southern province and has a bitter tribalist president who got elected after his tribal mate died and the people said only a fellow Tonga should succeed him, while the other party has a national wide identity and does not only include other tribes but also has people of other races in the senior positions(Muzungu vice president ?)

    • yaaabaaa…………… we still got to live along with brainwashed 1diots around. believing every bit the shinda paper spews out. incorrigibles are real

    • Alf Saulosi what did you do to the real Saulosi? What about the GBM, Jean Kapata clan that wanted to behead Kabimba? Events that followed after that made Kabimba confess that PF was the most unruly and tribal party in zambia. Search the Post archives you will find his statement.

    • Sata is the tribalist. Look at his cabinet, permanent secretaries, diplomats, parastatal chiefs, parastatal boards etc. They are 90% Bemba speakers from the Northern region and/or his relatives. My dear stop insulting our intelligence. Sata and people who support him like yourself are the stinking tribalists.

    • @Matipa..oh you are in Congo ? Explains your immature language.Typical of guys from poor backgrounds.

  8. Yes they are a sea apart because one party is mainly concentrated in southern province and has a bitter triba-list president who got elected after his tribal mate died and the people said only a fellow Tonga should succeed him, while the other party has a national wide identity and does not only include other tribes but also has people of other races in the senior positions(Guy Scot ?)

    • Guy Scott? Muzungu wopusa (stupid whiteman)…lol. Boasting of having Guy Scott in your ranks is like Mushota bragging about Nick the old bastard that climbs on top of her. Saulosi you’re an Uncle Tom the Son of Sam.

  9. @MMD Chief Bootlicker

HH ASKS, “Why should we have all those people selling on the streets if the PF is creating jobs?”

Childish Malema question meant for the ‘uninformed’ masses.

Street vendors are everywhere in Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia etc. They are part of business culture all the world.

    • Indeed. Street Vendors are Entrepreneurs! Some of them will graduate into big businessmen! Don’t kill that spirit.

  10. @ Sundan…The question is who do we choose? PF is slowly letting us down, UPND makes no sense, MMD is extinct and the rest have no vision so who do we vote for in 2016?

    • Vote for another *****, thats easy you’ve done it before. Vote for Father Bwalya, his very popular.

  11. The tribal leader has eyes but he can not see. He says the PF Government has failed. Surely is that true? The tribal leader is bitter with the PF Government. The UPND cannot be compared with the PF because they have never been in power before, they can not even be compared with the finished MMD. VIVA PF Government

    • Compare RB’s 3 years in power against Sata’s 3 years in power.

      Mealiemeal price
      Fuel price
      Kwacha performance against major currencies
Corruption levels( RBs sons, Dora Siliya, GMB, Kabimba, Kambwili, ZRL, ilunda chalo etc)
      External debt
      etc

  12. HH is not tribal. It actually Sata who is tribal. Sata has appointed his relatives and and his fellow tribesmen to key position n the civil service. The civil service has now become a family jungle for Sata. Unfortunately, the POST has been reporting that HH is tribal. This type of reporting is a well calculated move by the Post to divert people’s attention from Sata’s tribalism. Meembe helped Sata to get into plot one and the same Meembe will do everything possible to keep him in plot one for the next 20 years. Whatever is gained by manipulation is sustained by manipulation.

  13. I fail to understand why all politicians wants to get in power first before they show that they care for the people. Why can’t his party build 1 or 2 roads for the people, build cheap houses for the poor, or build a small hospital or two for people in rural areas then we will understand that it’s only due to the fact that HH and his party are not in power and lacks resources perhaps if they were they would do better for the people of Zambia.

This is not the time for campaigning and cheap politics, do something with the little resources that you have for the poor. If the government is failing the poor, take this opportunity and seek international donors to assist you in creating massive projects. Surely you can do something HH rather than waiting until when you are the next President.

    • This party is doing more than what you suggest they do. You are asking them to provide fish to the people. What they are doing by enlightening the people is teaching the people how to fish.

    • Please educate yourself on governance before you comment. Define a Political Party, Government then maybe you can contribute sensibly.

    • @mwanuke ka sambelwa you do not know your human rights and what is expected of your Gov. Thats why Sata and his cronies can do what they what.
@Gazi good point. many people in zambia think like @mwanuke ka sambelwa, instead of holding there leaders accountable they crucify the opposition that is doing checks and balances.

  14. We should be looking. Beyond PF as it is clear they have failed. We all need to look at strengthening the opposition in order to redeem our country.

  15. Thumbs up HH. As an Economist, I agree with you 100% that…. “What is every more worrying is that they are not only borrowing internationally but also busy borrowing from the domestic market and thus crowding out the private sector. You cannot create jobs when the private sector’s access to credit is constrained because the state is borrowing every day,” Can Mr. Sata even pronounce this phrase ‘crowding out’? A serious Govt that aims to create employment in both the private and public sectors wouldn’t be killing the private sector by crowding it out. You have my vote HH.

    • And for you bloggers that have misunderstood HH due to poor knowledge of Economics or maybe dullness and have chosen to take him on on the basis of tribe, let me help you a bit Crowding out is a situation where increased government borrowing reduces private sector investment spending. This is because increased Government borrowing ‘crowds out’ the private sector. Crowding out results in a reduction in private investment that occurs because of an increase in government borrowing. This may come about as a result of an increase in unplanned government spending which leads to a deficit that is financed by increased borrowing. The Govt borrowing increases interest rates leading to a reduction in private sector access to credit and investment.

    • How is the PF creating jobs when it has imposed an employment freeze and at the same time killed private sector investment through crowding it out. I know bloggers like Saulosi, Mushota etc think with their hearts and heads.

    • So how is PF creating jobs with a self imposed job freeze and the crowding out effect. Truth is, both Govt and the private sector are currently not creating jobs. The Private sector has been choked while the Govt has refused to employ. Hope Mushota and Saulosi now understand this simple economic rule. Don’t argue based on tribe.

  16. Integrity my foot! Tell that to the ghosts of Lima Bank you killed from hunger and not forgetting Luanshya miners.

  17. Guys give credit to HH. He is talking a lot of sense. He is spot on.
Pf has ran the country into the ground…look at the exchange rate, its ridiculous.
we have got khongole even our childrens children wont be able to repay………

  18. quess you say that sata is a tribal leader & has appointed his relatives in the civil service who can do that on this face of the earth even you + your tribalist HH given an opportunity you will definately appoint your relatives, why should my relatives suffer when am in a powerful position unless you are a (full) fool. & this does not only happen when when ur just the president even when ur boss at a company u can bring in your relatives. HH is saying that if PF has created employment then why are all these people doing selling in the streets, he claims to be an economist & a businessman how can you have the entire country in formal employment he likes contradicting himself.HH leave politics to pppeople who understands them

    • @mwana kapala
you little tweet, he is talking about economics of the country not politics. do you eat politics? you see contradictions where there are non. level of reasoning on some of you is shocking. ooohhh! I had forgotten that you could be one of kambiba’s paid bloggers

    • Your level of thinking cannot take the country forward. We need to think beyond tribe. That is what has made Africa not to develop economically despite being blessed with abundant natural resources. Zambians voted for Sata to improve the living standards of all Zambian and not to appoint his relatives to top positions in the civil service. Our desire for leadership should not be motivated by greed but by the desire to serve. Mandela is a typical example of a leader whose desire to lead was motivated by love for his country. He laid down his life for the country. Can Sata be compared to Mandela? It is good that you have come out in the open that you can also appoint all relatives to high positions in the civil service. That is an admission that you are a greed person ready to plunder.

  19. day dreamer, critisize and provide solutions.noticing a brolem is one thing and providing solution is another HH,FOREVER IN OPPOSITION

    • “If I had one hour to save the world, I would spend fifty-five minutes defining the problem and only five minutes finding the solution.” Albert Einstein. HH’s counsel should be taken seriously. Borrowing without strategic planning is dangerous. Thinks about going to a shopping mall with a K3,000 without! Our roads will soon need money for maintenance, with huge unsustainable debt, how are going to maintain them, build hospitals, schools, Universities, etc?

  20. Taivo, why do you wan to see HH at his home? So you can plant drugs and muti? Have a life and smell the coffee. There will be change in 2016, either HH or someone else and of course not PF. Watch this space.

  21. Hh claims he is an economist but his statements do not reflect it or is it just usual politicking. Is he telling us that if he led govt he will not borrow? Is he telling us that the roads the government is reconstructing is free. Just few weeks ago, Germany a rich country issued $3bn euro bond, did opposition leaders make noise like you? Big no! You re riding on people’s ignorance lying everyday and thinking you can’t be exposed.

  22. Yes it is very much true that the two HH and Sata are different. Some differences are obvious. One is a university graduate, the other one is a grade 5. One is a successful businessman and the other one accrued his money from politics. One is a husband of one wife and a good family man, the other is a polygamist with kids spread all over. One is wise, the other one is not. One thinks before he talks, the one utters anything that comes to mind. One has respect, the other one insults even the finger that feeds him. The list is endless.

  23. WHOSE THIS MISINFORMED B**TCH IN THE NAME OF MUSHOTA. CAN YOU JUST SHUT UP AND CONTINUE DOING BRITISH BUM CLEANING(BBC) YOU ARE THE MOST DISGUSTING UNINFORMED BLOGGER.DO US A FAVOR AND SHUT UP.

  24. HH has used an intellectual augment which most of the pf cadres have failed to comprehend hence resorting to tribal sentiments.

    • @ Choncho, have you missed HH’s ‘Crowding Out’ argument? Its people like, you, Saulosi and Mushota who use your hearts to argue. How is the PF creating jobs when it has imposed an employment freeze and at the same time killed private sector investment through crowding it out?

    • @Old age, it is you, hh, jay jay, ndobo and watchgalu portraying that Zambia is finished yet the truth is the opposite. read the post of yesterday, there is an article by one Carol White titled Lovely Lusaka. It just summarizes the true picture. I wish postzambia.com can place the article online. In summary the article is saying a sector of Zambians are lying about their country. What you read or hear is opposite of what is obtaining. She goes on to say other nationals say positive things about their countries except Zambians. Twaba shani kanshi.

  25. Street vending is everywhere in the world at least in American and European cities l have been to. Continue lying my friend. One lesson Mr economist is that borrowing for development projects is OK unlike for consumption. If you do not agree with me then l will take it that your degree was obtained through leakage.

    • @choncho,street vending in new York city is different from pa zed, they use carriage and pay taxes.have not seen any clothing or disoriented vending in Europe,America or Japan.we move freely without being squeezed due to vending.borrowing for consumption means not investing the borrowed money into revenue project ventures like paying salaries, tripple president emoluments,by elections and unbudgeted projects.how will mushindo university in chisali bring in revenue, the investment in energy sector, railway, water ,agriculture and manufacturing sector is /should have been a plus to solving the unemployment.the USA govt borrow but it loans the money to private companies, the USA govt scouts for markets for products made by the private sector hence presidential visit in Asia,Latin America,Europe

  26. I also believe the two parties are sea apart in that a masters’ degree and a grade seven certificate are very far apart in difference. One party is headed by a grade seven certificate holder while the other one is headed by masters’ degree holder…..let me end there!!!

    • Please stop insulting Grade Seven certificate holders..and please don’t even insult the grade 3 certificate holders because your president is a grade two certificate holder officially..sub standard fimo fimo

  27. ba choncho. don’t be too trible . talk issues . you know for sure that u can’t compare upnd to pf ,and HH is right . but u guys you keep on supporting some useless party which is doing contrary to what they promised and you know . And HH is telling u facts but your skin is so hard that you can’t swallow the truth. face facts .

  28. HH should not cheat Zambians that he has the solution to unemployment in this country. No country on earth not even the most developed countries like USA have manage to solve the unemployment issue . Iam sure many of us are aware of the high unemployment levels in France, Italy, Britain, Spain, Portugal, china, Japan etc.If all these developed countries are struggling with this problem what about Zambia. I feal that our Government is trying its best and we need to support them. No Govt in this World has ever been perfect . So
Please HH be reasonable, don`t criticize the Govt even when they are performing well. its a big challenge to run the affairs of this country. Lets all continue to pray for our leaders and our Nation. God bless Mother Zambia!

  29. The Jerabos have been done a ‘Donchi Kubeba’. The black mountain has been sold to the Chinese and over 200 state police have been sent there to ensure that no one does anymore mining there. That little piece of news made me happy because I know that the Jerabos formed part of the populous on the copperbelt that ushered in the most hopeless party in the world into power. Kambwili has been in shouting matches with the CEO and Human Resource manager at LCM and they have decided not to renew any of his contracts with the mine for this year. Kambwili then said he will report to the president and the Chinese CEO also said he will report to the president through the Chinese embassy. Friends, i present to you, the PF.

    • @Dudehate, Try to put facts and redeem yourself. Jerabos were/are mmd. One of them stood on mmd ticket in Kitwe and was beaten hands down.

  30. One wonders where the tribal sentiments comes from. The man here is talking about real issues that would actually take Zambia away from the state it is in right now. How well educated is the country or has it just all gone to the dogs? People getting jobs that deals with shovels and they are made to think they got it all while those called leaders are robbing the same poor people that are still singing praises.

  31. Zambians voted for SATAN and have seen the impact on what is normal and not. if we want good leadership in 2016 let us vote differently .get some one who can think properly and not tired brains. Zambia we deserved much more with the blessed resources that we have I tell u. sometimes when we are told things let us be analytical its not always politics. we deserve much more and on this one HH is right. The problem when some one is in power than they are doing well NO.

  32. Economist you said?. In Zambia we have had two scenario of people who have ruled us; one from KK (uneducated) and another from FTJ (educated). FTJ preached economic development and that his predecessor was uneducated.
When you compare what the uneducated did for this country as compared to the educated , there is a big gap.
I feel we have tried educated people before and they have shown to be complete thieves , they twist their tongues quickly to confuse the poor and ignorant , they use big words with no meaning to frighten the poor and weak in society. I feel, if you borrow for building something, then its not a loss. The reason why someone is borrowing now is because somebody who was there before did not build something. If the US can borrow billions of dollars from within , why not…

    • The USA govt does not crowd the financial private sector hence the loans interest obtained by individuals range b/n 9-16%p/a.building anything on borrowed cash is easy but it’s thread in ur neck ,routine maintenance will be required, debt servicing.roads construction is vital,as it is duo revenue, car taxes and gas taxes is paid by consumers .non revenue projects should not be done massively but on a snile pace as they are to be serviced by taxes from those in formal sector of employment.so Zambia can do better investing heavily in export crop products, renewable energy and setting up mineral processed companies instead of exporting raw minerals hence earning itself forex.but all this require a well balanced team of both intellectual and pragmatic leadership, with less public politicking .

  33. We drove from Lusaka to Mufulira and there was heavy traffic all through from start to finish. All my friends in Lusaka and mufulira are proud owners of houses and are still building others and commercial properties. Malls are springing up everywhere but one wonders the negative reports everyday. Continue complaining while others are making hay.

  34. We cant trust any politician this time around but we will vote for the best useless party come 2016. You are all the same waiting to employ your wives, children and relations. However, we can do nothing but to vote for the better useless party.

We know that one party will carry the day…alas and woes to the party predestinated to fell off in 2016. we wait for that day.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia

  35. When HH was liquidating Luanshya Mine, he uprooted the railway slippers & sold them in order to pay his bills.

  36. Plz our President! Stop talking about Sata, tell us how u’re going to govern the Country. Such as in education, agriculture, fuel, Roads and civil servants. Plz! Viva HH

  37. In 2016 PF is going to field Edith Nawakwi as its presidential candidate.Let us all rally behind her and not these BANTUSTAN party. Doesn’t hakainde know that mealie meal prices and that of fuel have been increasing since Kaunda’s time. Where did you learn your economics mr hh? Is it from kasiya secretarial college or n’gombe ilede market? When you say PF are borrowing for consumption, are you implying that building roads and health posts is consumption? If it is, then its a worthy consumption. And yesterday you pretended not to know PROUD when he called during let the people talk program and yet he is the one who opens the toilet door for you when you go to nya and there after he gives you toilet paper but you pretended not to know him and yet he is the one who sings praises for you.

  38. HH for 2016… haters die in peace . HH has Barotseland, southern , Eastern , Central , Northwestern , Copperbelt and Lusaka Province…. game on . He has started the fire that will continuing burning post 2016. Hes been labelled a tribalist, the man keeps hummering you… no he is under 5 the man keeps providing alternative leadership qualities. HH ni chikali… I just like his analysis of issues. surely a better option than what is on the ground at the moment. HH am in !!! Viva HH, abash lies and violence. Data!!!
