It is interesting to follow Wynter Kabimbas’ self deception and the PF dilemma. Every intelligent political analyst can tell what Wynter is projecting himself to the PF and the Zambian people at larger. In recent months Wynter has received the highest coverage in the post newspaper and for obvious reasons, Wynter is projected as the most organized and politically correct individual. This has given Wynter extra appetite for power believing he can take over from Micheal Sata and rule Zambia. This self deception can be seen in Wynter’s style of leadership as the Secretary General of the party and Minister of Justice.
Wynter Kabimba like any Zambian has a right to aspire to the highest office of the land. However, he needs soul searching to understand the reality of Zambian political landscape. Of course Wynter is Secretary General of the party and he should know that Zambians are very intelligent and wise when it comes to selecting who rules the county. Apparently, Wynter has miscalculated his judgment due to the fact that he believes he will climb on Sata’s name and deeds. Like he has repeated said it himself; Micheal is Micheal. Sata comes’ with a long track record of being in government and political ingenuity which Wynter does not have himself.

Let’s ask Wynter basic questions to help him understand his self deception. What has he done since PF came into power as Minister of Justice? Absolutely Nothing! This is a moral question for Wynter because the gentleman has been receiving tax payer’s money without concrete actions as Minister of Justice. A lot of Ministers in the PF government regardless of them being useless as Sata would like to call them are seen to be working while Wynter is preoccupied with PF political party matters at the expense of limited national resources.
Micheal Sata was Secretary General of the MMD and served in many Ministerial capacities to which he delivered. Today, this country is yet again challenged with a constitution making stalemate due to the fact the Wynter is sitting on the Constitution. The constitution, the foundation of this country, a document we have spent huge sums of money, is sitting gathering dust in his office. In fact PF is one of most disunited, indiscipline and violent political party in the history of Zambia under the leadership of Wynter Kabimba as Secretary General. The country is misguided and has lost its direction economically and politically due to him intimidating his colleagues in PF with I know it all style and arrogance. What type of leadership is this?
There are more questions about Wynter’s leadership and vision for Zambia. Especially his personality and the whole political ideology. What has Wynter achieved in his personal capacity at individual and professional level? Some people say he is a failed lawyer. I am told that Wynter failed to win an election in his own village. What does an average Zambian think of Wynter Kabimba as a person, as Secretary General of the party and its government and as a Minister of Justice? I think if Wynter did a soul searching and personal reflection he may find that his self deception in believing that he can take after Sata is a PF dilemma.
The PF dilemma is finding and selecting a leader that can take after Sata not Wynter Kabimba. The PF dilemma is to limit Wynters’ self deception into believing that he can be the heir to Sata, he may for the PF but not for this beloved country our forefathers worked so hard to liberty. The PF dilemma is to deal with outside forces like the post newspaper that have infuriated the party and taken control of it. The PF dilemma is that it can’t co-exist without Sata. The PF dilemma is that it can’t rule without Sata. So what then for the PF?

The cost of running a closed mine was k5 billion daily at that time. The machinery at the mine needs to run even under a care taker, which was govts main worry. Infact the govt was surpose to give out KCM for free to avoid the daily running costs that exceeded $25million

I think the author of this article is either just waking up from slumber, and therefore appears naive to the happenings in the country, or he is being “cautious” is what he is saying. How can he apportion the consititutional issue on Kabimba when Sata himself has made it clear that “let them yap” as much as they want? He also claims that “some PF ministers seem to be working”. But I wonder which ones, in light of the falling kwacha, disasterous agriculatural input, selective persecutions, etc. What then has he “seen to be working”? On Wynter Kabimba he suggests that Kabimba is getting favourable coverage from the post. Is he unaware of the cartel? (headed by Fred M’membe) which wants Kabimba to succeed Sata and all they have done to the likes of GBM, Kambwili etc?
I believe there is need for level headedness in choosing who takes over from Sata

What happened to Cabinet collective responsibility? Kabimba is Zambian, let him have a go. 1. In 1991, they voted for a known lier, thief and philandering twerp with no proper leadership background in the name of Chiluba despite having been informed very clearly that this man was not right for Presidency.
2. In 2001 they “accidentally” voted for Levy purely on account of the fact that the known lier and thief selected him. Though Levy turned out to be a good leader, it was not on account of “intelligence and wisdom” that Zambians voted for him.

Wynter is clearly and has never been a leader by any stretch of the imagination. However, the same can be said about literally, the whole PF lot starting from Sata, through Guy Scott, Chikwanda, Kambwili, GBM etc. If Wynter was considered a Northerner however, I doubt if all and sundry including some Bemba Chief who recently said he would give up his throne to fight Wynter, would have any beef with him. If he had been Bemba, he would have been wholly embraced by all PF Northerners as the heir apparent, the chosen one of Sata and the whole party would have rallied around him. His tribe is what makes him most unpopular with PF. They will NEVER accept a non Bemba to lead this party. I challenge all of you to prove me otherwise.

That is a fair comment on Kabimba. But, it is embarrassing to Bembas who are not tribalistic to be bunched together with i.d.i.o.t.s who can’t think beyond tribe. This has become such a big problem that without Sata as presidential candidate, we as PF are likely to lose elections in 2016. When I speak to people from other provinces most are disappointed with the way we seem to be systematically supporting only Bembas as heirs in PF. It is the same mistake HH made and he is still paying for it. As PF we tried for 10 years to win national elections but failed due to being perceived as a Bemba party; and now some i.d.i.o.ts who were not even there want to waste all that effort with their tribalistic idiocy. It is reminiscent of one who said: ” A Tonga must take over from Mazoka.” In this case the author is saying that “Only a Bemba must take over from Sata.” Otherwise, had Kabimba the correct spelling of his last name and the right blood flowing through his veins, he would by now be accorded the hero’s attention in PF and the successor in waiting to the incumbent.
To that end, the author is right in stating that Kabimba is deceiving himself to believe that he can make it on Sata’s ticket. The Bemba stronghold does not see Kabimba in the same light that they see Sata. With all his faults and defects Sata is a hero among them. As for Kabimba, he must be subjected to absolute scrutiny.

Magande has left history of being a good economic manager. The records are there for all of us to see. At one time the kwacha almost came to K2.00 per dollar while he cleared the debts for this country with infrastructure dev.
Others who call themselves economic managers have only managed to accrue personal wealth and nothing to show about what they have done for Zambians. Personal wealth does not translate into being a good leader – i.e HH , GBM etc.
