Edgar Lungu orders the demolishing of houses

Chawama Member of Parliament (MP), Edgar Lungu, has directed that houses that have allegedly been built on the Freedom Compound clinic premises be demolished.

Suspected people believed to be party cadres have allegedly encroached the clinic premises and constructed houses despite being notified against the move.

This came to light when Mr Lungu, who was accompanied by PF John Howard Ward-3 Councillor, Adam Mwanza, PF Nkoloma Ward-1 Councillor, Lawrence Sichalwe, PF Chawama Constituency and senior government officials, paid an impromptu visit at the clinic.

Mr Lungu, who is also Defence Minister, said government wants sanity in the administration of land and it would not condone lawlessness in the country regardless of political affiliation, colour or religion.

He said the land that has been encroached is earmarked for the construction of an ultra-modern police post and a school

He said encroachment notices were issued to the people in question but regretted that the notices were ignored.

He further warned that the perpetrators risked being prosecuted and serve as a deterrent to would-be offenders.

The MP also toured and inspected developmental projects in his area, among them the hammer mill at Freedom Women Club, feeder roads and the newly opened Makeni shopping Mall on the Kafue/Livingstone highway road.

  1. The is the best candidate of the intire PF inspite of embibing. The rest are useless are getting fat everyday. Sata told them openly he gave them govt vehicles and yet they cant take advantage to abuse the the public facility visitin their constituences.Look at honourable kambwili and yaluma.

  2. The best candidate for Presidency is Given Lubinda and somehow GBM,the rest are poodles

    • But do not come and be vengeful ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are just coming to run the country and help Zambians get out this poverty by uniting them and offering a voice that will inspire every Zambian to work together as a team. How I hope to achieve this.

  3. GBM for president ? no way….Magande is mature and knows how to sort Zambia out of its mess. But Zambians ‘most’ aren’t well educated to understand economic structure. they just vote coz someone says a thing without asking ‘how’.

    • May be you are right. I have respect for ba Magande. Given Lubinda is also sharp enough. Edgar can, even mama Nawakwi. Zambia is not difficult to run, because the Office is run well by the Presidency Institution regardless of the occupier.

So far, in retrospect, all the Presidents we have had did well under the circumstances, although some could have done even better. I want to tag them like this in the positive sense, KK- the founding father/humanist/peace maker, FTJ-democrat/economic reformer and entreprenuership teacher, LPM-the lawyer/malaise fixer and fiscal disciplinarian, RB-the diplomat/nice guy/economic consolidator, and MCS-infrastructure expansionist/pro-poor/loves hardworkers.

  4. “Suspected people believed to be party cadres” can anyone interpret this phrase please?
It sounds like the “party cadres”, who are not people, were masquerading as people.

    • Gramma is tough indeed, instead of ‘People suspected to be PF cadres’, it is ‘Suspected people believed to be PF cadres…!’ Amazing, that is why these writters are refered to us gutter journalists!

  5. EDGAR LUNGU FOR PRESIDENT IN 2016 WE SHALL BOOM AT STATE HOUSE WHEN THE MAN TAKES OVER THE COUNTRY AFTER THE BIGMAN GOES TO REST
