Recovering Lwipa back in training

Power Dynamos striker Ignatius Lwipa has resumed training after recovering from a knock that kept him out of action for one week.

Team Doctor Hilgard Mutambo said Lwipa took part in the Wednesday morning work out at Arthur Davies.

The former international striker picked up the injury on June 7 when Power beat Napsa Stars 2-0 in Kitwe.

“Lwipa started training yesterday (Wednesday,” Dr Mutembo said.

Lwipa missed last weekends big Kitwe derby against Nkana that finished 1-all in Wusakile.

The striker is now expected to be available for selection ahead of Saturday’s home FAZ Super League Week 14 match against leaders Zanaco in Kitwe.

Lwipa’s career has been resuscitated since he switched from Zanaco to Power at the beginning of this season.

Coach Tenant Chilumba has recently been partnering Lwipa with striker Jimmy Ndhlovu upfront.
