Government has been advised not to view the Church as an enemy but as a partner and agent of development.
Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) General Secretary Reverend Susan Matale has told QFM News in an interview that government should pay attention to the concerns raised by stakeholders if the country is to develop.
Reverend Matale has emphasized that there is need for the PF government to address the high cost of living because most people cannot afford to have three descent meals in a day.
She has assured government that the advocacy of the church on issues affecting the Zambian people is not out of malice but goodwill.
Reverend Matale notes that while the PF is trying to improve the living standards of the people; there is still room to more.
The CCZ Secretary General was however quick to mention that it will be unacceptable for the PF government to finish their five year term without delivering a constitution which they promised to deliver in a space of 90 days.
And Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) Board Chairperson, Bishop David Masupa, has told QFM News in a separate interview that the PF government should be praised for improving the road and railway network in the country which is making it easy and possible for the people to transport goods and services.
Bishop Masupa has however notes that the PF government needs to do more in addressing the high cost of living.
And Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Director, Reverend Pukuta Mwanza has emphasized the need for the PF government to work on the high cost of living which is practically making it impossible for most people to survive.
Reverend Mwanza says the PF has enough time to correct the mistakes they have created such as the removal of fuel and maize subsidies in order to give the people room for survival.
CCZ you are advising the wrong people. Just leave them PF. The PF will be put in it’s right place soon, opposition, where they belong.
The church will always side with the oppresed in society.Just like we did when PF was been oppresed by MMD.
Some churches are the enemy, e.g. Pule’s church
On the contrary, it you the church that have declared yourselves the enemies of the government
Lipman-Blumen provides a list of personal qualities of bad leaders. She refers to these bad leaders as “toxic leaders”. Toxic leaders demonstrate insatiable ambition, prompting such leaders to put their own sustained power, glory and fortunes above the well-being of their followers. Their enormous egos blind them from the shortcomings of their own character and thus limit their capacity for self-renewal. Toxic leaders project arrogance preventing them from acknowledging their mistakes and, instead, leading them to blame others for their failure. The amorality of these leaders makes it nearly impossible for toxic leaders to discern right from wrong. A prevalent avarice drives toxic leaders to…
