Share

Zambia’s home-based players wrapped up their three-day monthly training camp on Wednesday with a friendly win over National Assembly.

Chipolopolo beat Assembly 3-1 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka in a practice match.

Moses Phiri put Assembly in the lead in the 20th before his Zanaco namesake equalised for Zambia in the 35th minute to see the two sides’ go 1-1 into the break.

Bruce Musakanya made it 2-1 for Zambia in the 60th minute before Roderick Kabwe scored the final goal two minutes later.

Meanwhile, the team will regroup on August 24 in Ndola with the home-based players who will be joined by the foreign call-ups five days later for Zambia’s August 30 friendly against Sudan at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Zambia will later face Mozambique on September 6 at the same venue in a 2015 Africa Cup Group F opening qualifier.

  1. Good luck wishes from your Number One fan … You need to work hard and make sure you secure your place early so that you can start working on more friendly games before the main tournament.

The smart people of the Zambian Enterprise need the Cup back home next year.

  2. I like this trend of having monthly training with local based players, which this previous foreign imbecile lacked. Janza is one of the less trusted coaches because he is Zambian, in whom the majority are corrupt and one sided on team selection…. Involve every potential footballers its good that you have seen the potential in Simon Bwalya….. Work hard or else you will together with Kalusha Bwalya…

  3. is it me or i think this is pure lack of common sense or strategy at the least? what will a friendly do for us with our local clubs apart from entertainment? how do you play against zambian’s when you are preparing to face other nations whose football style defers? if we are playing sudan for instance, coach whatever needs to organize a friendly with a team that passes a certain criteria compared to that of sudan. strategy ba coach, how do you swat flies in preparation for a fight against a buffalo?

  4. Chipolopolo is one bullet and Zipolopolo are 11 bullets? Can one bullet be effective naimwe olo penangu the name has to change mwe sure?
