IT would be ‘foolish’ for the MMD to allow former President Rupiah Banda to bounce back into active politics, MMD special assistant to the party president Raphael Nakacinda has said.
He said that the matter surrounding Mr Banda’s coming back will be handled maturely. Mr.Nakacinda was speaking yesterday in an interview in reaction to Mr Banda’s statement that he is consulting on a possible return to active politics and that he has the right to do so.
He said that enemies of the MMD who are determined to see the party destroyed are the ones calling on Mr Banda to return to active politics.
Mr.Nakacinda said Mr Banda should be respected as he has immensely contributed to national development.
Former Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication in the Chiluba government, Alfred Ndhlovu said Mr Banda has the right to come back to politics.
Mr Ndhlovu, who is also MMD publicity secretary, said Mr Banda has a democratic and constitutional right to return to politics. “Rupiah Banda was just finishing Mwanawasa’s three years, the constitution allows him, he did not serve his two terms,” he said.

This just shows how disaffected the PF cadres and youth in general are because of PF’s lies and promises it never fulfils.
There is more to hit PF as 2016 approaches. Students, farmers, nurses ,miners and the general public are angry and have released how dishonest PF is. By mid next years, there will be mass demonstrations as the PF will fail honour salary payments due to lack of funds. IMF and world bank have temporarily withheld aid to Zambia awaiting how PF will honour the debt servicing pledges for the money it has borrowed already. So far PF has missed more debt interest repayments.
RB is free to come back into politics .

I think rb should just come back as a neutral person to see us through the transition to fill the vacuum created by timely demise of Michael Sata.but from the way nevers is talking,I think they are not in good books with rb .it was yesterday when rb said “are they my parents to restrain me from bouncing back to politics?”could it be that rb is the one sponsoring Dora,Kaingu,Chituwo,Mulusa,etc to fight against Nevers?an old car is too expensive to maintain compared to a new one.think of how much we have spent on repairing Sata ‘s parts and buying new spare parts for him.abash to old aged politrickstars.
Politics is like an artist performing before an audience. A good artist knows when it is time to end the show. RB show was ended in 2011 elections. Coming is unwise. Now he will be bruised and PF might lock him up in jail. PF will be the winner as Zambians have not forgotten MMD performance while in govt. He can come back but there will be no audience for him.

Your time is over, not in Zambian history has the past president bounced back to power after losing in an election. Actually it is FOOLISH for MMD to continue keeping NEVERS MUMBA their President, this pastor has failed to organise the Party and he wants to go down with it that is not fair, MMD has given him a chance but he has proved to be a failure so what does them to do keep, to keep watching until the Party dies copletely that is not fair pastor, plz plz just go back to your church you have failed in politics. Most political party leaders do not sleep when they see another in power; that is envy at its best. There are more than ten political parties in Zambia, and it is not possible for all to rule at any time. I think that if these leaders learned that after loosing in an election they can still play other important roles, of checking the party in power, while waiting for their turn. RB is respected today as a retired president, but if he bounced back and failed to be elected…WHAT A SHAME! Will Zambians honestly respect him?
