ACTING President Guy Scott says he is not worried with people endorsing United Party for National Development president Hakainde Hichilema for the forthcoming presidential election slated for January 20 next year.
Dr Scott said the UPND leader has been part of elections before and lost.
He said the 2015 presidential election is an opportunity for political parties to yet again gauge their popularity.
Yesterday two opposition political parties, the Alliance for Development and Democracy (ADD), through its president, Charles Milupi and selected MMD Members of Parliament, led by Felix Mutati and independent MPs, including high profiled politicians like former MMD Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Dipak Patel and Former Prime Minister Malimba Masheke in the UNIP government endorsed HH for the 2015 presidential by election.
Speaking on behalf of the MMD and independent members of parliament, Lunte MMD MP, Felix Mutati, disclosed that the Members of Parliament decided to come together and choose a party that will unit Zambians and move the country forward hence the decision to support UPND.
He said Zambia needs a leadership that will help improve the welfare of the people and not investing in mere promises.
Mr Mutati stated that the UPND was a better party to deliver the development that will change the course of the nation.
He implored the UPND faithfuls to go out and encourage Zambians to turn out in large numbers on the 20th of January 2015.
Guy Scott if you want to endorse HH, just do it, why shy. Kabimba just left PF and endorsed HH. Tapabe insoni.
Guy Scott, you better tell that to “Independent” Presidential Candidates Edgar Lungu and RB.
Common sense should now prevail. Zambians want progress and not squabbles. They are now saying NO to the “ninety-day” lies that are now buried at Embassy Park. They do not want to be associated with the chaos going on in MMD and PF. They now know where to turn on 20th January 2014.

The only thing guy has got right this far is nullifying the shenanigans that almost declared lungu elected. Edgar Lungu while a few weeks ago had established himself as a possible successor he lost it all by showing his weakness. Edgar does not have the inner strength and courage to be president. Besides if he loses GBM, ABC and Kambwili which almost certainly happen should he try to still this nomination he is done. After Sata GBM is PF and PF is GBM.
If Edgar lungu won the PF presidency the other candidates would not support him because he has not carried himself harmoniously with the others. Mutati is a coward and a failure i own my farm in his constituency, i know where he comes from (MUKUPA KAOMA) and knows his father.he has totally done nothing since he became MP for lunte in 2001 there is no school ,clinic or a comunity which is connected to power dispite the national grid pasing through the vilages.he has saved in many ministrial positions with no tangible results.he almost lost to CHILUBANAMA in 2011 but he corupted people with salt and beef.come 2016 he will have no constituency.

MPs are facilitators of development in their areas that’s why the government is praised ,not individual mp, for such and such develoment, it’s government’s responsibility to take development to all parts of zambia. Pf failed to do, not Mutati.

A lot of us that ardently follow Zambian poltics and many that have had the pleasure of working with him actually find Mutati to be an accomplished politician and business leader. The success of a politician is not measured only through the lense of the bacon he brings home but through his contribution to national agenda. I for one will confess a lot of respect for Mutati both for his education and intelligence.
