OPPOSITION United Party for National Development (UPND) vice president Richard Kapita has called on registered voters to turn up in numbers and cast their votes in the forth coming presidential by elections.
Mr Kapita said it was every Zambian’s right who was registered as a voter to avoid voter apathy by choosing the candidate of their choice through the ballot.
Addressing scores of party cadres on arrival at Livingstone’s Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula international airport on Saturday, Mr Kapita appealed to all registered voters to turn up in numbers on 20TH January 2014 to cast their votes whether it rained or not.
“Your task as voters on that day is to make sure that you go and vote. Let’s not have voter apathy, even if it rains or not on the day of voting, let’s go and vote,” Mr Kapita said.
Mr Kapita said the UPND was ready to take up government With their presidential Candidate Hakainde Hichilema because the party had done it’s ground work and was more organized than any other political party that would participate in the by election.
He said after the death of president Michael Sata, there were more problems and confusions in the ruling Patriotic Front(PF) and the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD), a thing he said had given a lot more advantage to the UPND.
Mr Kapita said as UPND, they were culturally balanced during the funeral of the late president because they wanted to bury him with honor and dignity.
He said after the burial of president Sata, The UPND has launched and started their campaigns for Mr Hichilema to become the next president.
“We in UPND were culturally balanced during the funeral of our late president because we wanted to bury him with honor and dignity. We so that our friends in PF did not do that with decorum that the funeral deserved,” Mr Kapita said.
Mr Kapita accused some of PF members including close relatives to the late president campaigning for his position even before his burial.
He said after launching their campaigns, the UPND broken through the Copperbelt province as attested by the reception it received in the province.
Mr Kapita said previously it was not easy for the party leadership to walk through the markets of the Copperbelt province as it was perceived to be the home ground of the PF a thing he said was no more.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia should be put on alert that this Election will go forward without respect for who is ready and who is not ready. UPND should ensure that no injunctions against the By-Elections themselves are allowed. And finally, UPND should protect the votes of the people through international monitoring and parallel vote counting. Do not allow these Hooligans to dribble you because God knows they will try!!

Miles Sampa argued that the removal of subsidies was to save money to help the poor on muvi tv assignment. So the question I would like to ask Sampa , Lungu and all PF supporters is;
Why are poor small scale farmers not being paid?
Why are poor student not being paid?
Why are poor students being left out of bursaries?
These are the questions PF will need to answer. Even if farmers are paid as a last minute vote buying bribery, only the f00lish ones will vote PF.

Richard Kapita, your theft, pinching as marketing manager are known to all at the Institute of Marketing. Your actions speak louder than your words. Go and fool your fellow UPND wheeler-dealers. Zambia is not for sale. Zambia is for Zambians, who have heart and soul for Zambians.

There is no question that UPND presently offers the only sensible choice out of the three main parties.There is order and maturity in UPND which can not said for the other two parties embroiled in toxic intra power tussles. This alone ought to be enough reason to vote UPND and not PF or MMD,but actually UPND should be voted for in their own right.The author outlines a coherent agenda that the UPND has for Zambia. It is logical and implementable, unlike the false 90 days dreams that the PF fed the nation in 2011.In HH, UPND also have someone who is intellectually sure-footed and more than able to hold his own on the world stage unlike the late Mr Sata who,it has to be said, was never the sharpest tool in the box.
The God we save as zambias is speaking right now. Just like He spoke through signs and wonder to Pharao in Egypt, he is speaking to us now. As humans we cant hear His voice but can see Him speak.
The confusion we see now in MMD, UNIP and PF are clear testimony that God is communicating to us. We have two paths to follow (1) path of national unit, and (2) path of National confusion. please lets forget all the differences and see which party can unite us in all sector of our needs. We are at the cross roads to either move forward or backwards. please open your eyes and see what God is communicating to U. VOTE HH for National Unit and ditch the impending violence.Amen.
