Zesco Limited Managing Director Cyprian Chitundu has applauded Zesco United FC for winning the 2014 Barclays Cup and the FAZ Super League.
Zesco on Saturday won the Barclays Cup after thumping Nkana 3-0 in the final just a week after scooping the Super League.
In an interview, Chitundu said he was impressed with the performance of George Lwandamina’s side in the just ended season.
He pledged the company’s support to the Ndola club ahead of their participation in the 2015 CAF Champions League.
“I would like to congratulate the boys. I think they have done a very good job. We are very happy that we made a double,” Chitundu said.
“As we go into the Champions League we will give them 100% support. We will make the country proud,” he added.
Zesco have now won both the league and the Barclays Cup four times.

Congratulations ba Zesco; now ba Chitundu, can you explain why a person needs to wait for 180 days (and counting) to get electricity connected to the house when the 3-phase line is just 52m away. The performance of your workers is appalling; they are costing us a lot of money and serious inconveniences.
