PF in a Titanic Battle

It is not surprising that PF has find it self in this in titanic battle. The party which was formed by one person and most people voted for it because of Mr. Sata Michael was heading it. Most of this MPs were voted in because they were using Sata‘s name. I repeat myself; no one in this entire world can claim to carry on the vision and plans of another person. The problems in PF were created by themselves as they were busy dancing and partying despite of looming succession crisis. The voices were clear from the well meaning Zambians that PF needed to start preparing for person take over from Mr. Sata Michael but no one listened.

The PF boat has reached a stage were the boat will either sail or sink. What is very clear is that the boat has now developed holes which are allowing water to enter into it and the ending result is to sink. There is no doubt that since the shipmaster is not there, the boat will either sink or hit into an iceberg and breaks into pieces. PF members are pretending that they have not seen an iceberg ahead of them.

The infighting in PF leaves much to be desired. The party in Government has for sure showed us that they can not govern us since they have failed to settle their disputes. Is this party going to respect the national constitution since they have failed to respect their document? What type of this party that has no regards for the police and the rule of law?

Their cadres normally fight in the presences of the police and no arrest is usually made. The party which has been insulting it other and carrying coffins on their heads since voted into power does not surely deserve a second term.

I have never seen a party which does not respect its leadership like PF. Mr. Edgar Lungu has been disrespecting the PF leadership since the battle started and one wonders what type of leadership style is bringing to the nation. One remaining acting as a manager does not guarantee that he/she will make a good manager.

People in the Lungu‘s camp is another topic on itself. Miles Sampa’s camp meant well but they did not follow the agreed time frame to conduct the elections. Sampa is still baby in the political field who can not aspire for presidency. What is disturbing is conduct of the PF leadership after the demise of their shipmaster.

I’m pretty sure that people now believe why these ministers were called useless by their master because they are selfish who can not put the nation interest first. Since PF is struggling to pick its best president among the worse, it is prudent that Miles Sampa who is youthful and energetic with clear background runs the party.

When a serious Zambian critically and skillful analyze Miles Sample, RB, Edgar Lungu, Nevers Mumba, HH and others in all fairness, HH outclass all the line up to lead this nation unless Zambians elect to pretend.

HH and UPND is a party which is intact at the moment with a clear message of let us unity Zambia need everybody support. The next article will analyze each candidate in details for voter’s choice. It is therefore wise for all Zambians to give HH chance as he had been stable in the political career.

      Fake wage increase followed by wage freeze. Net wage increase = 0
      Abuse of POA.
      PF murders with impunity.
      Police brutality with impunity.
      Stealing Farmers’ maize.
      Failing to fund learning and health care institutions adequately.
      Failing to enact the people led constitution.
      Failing to pay Road contractors.
      Firing nurses after deceiving them with wage increase.
      Ignoring Ruth Mbandu’s murder.
      Violence both intra and inter party.
      High cost of living
      High energy bills
      No bursaries for all students.
      No free electricity and water army and police.
      Break down of rule of law.
      Constitutional breaches.
      No freedoms…

    • Mushota, can you make up your mind? The other day you had thrown in your towel saying PF was a gonner or atleast you appeared to favour man of the moment Lungu, now you have gone back to Sampa. Just look at Sampa, do you think the people of Zambia can vote for that boy who is still smelling of milk from his mother’s breasts. The boy is only known by people in Matero or those that hail from there. Sampa cannot beat even Chipimo, Nawakwi, Miyanda, let alone RB, not to mention HH. Stop dreaming!

      The Two Camps Theory

      A. The camp that will ultimately field a candidate will not be assisted to campaign by that which will not. Members in the latter understand that supporting its rival camp will not yield jobs for them. Consequently ‘ukufilila munsenga’ adage will apply.

      B. Some members of the losingcamp will attempt a cross-over covertly to the UPND team. They will figure they might just get an ambassadorship or something. UPND will make a conditional welcome.

      C. Assuming a 3-way split of the electoral vote, whatever little UPND can get in terms of support from the ‘losing’ camps will translate into measurable fortunes for it and a defeat for the other two parties.

  13. It is surprising that despite the harsh economic realities created by the PF government, some comedians are still singing PF. This is a party that has lamentably failed. We have to try somebody else with fresh ideas, that’s how our European brothers developed. If some one is wasting time, they substitute. In this case, PF is wasting time.

  16. Stay clear of political parties you do not support. Choose between PF and UPND but do not confuse the two parties. After choosing a leader for PF in the name of MS, then why stray away to support UPND. It is clear that MMD finds itself in a more delicate situation than PF and UPND combined. However, it is time to choose PF and allow PF to complete the political mandate of five years. After the mandate is over, then it will be possible to determine which party deserves a fresh mandate. Lead by example, accept existing rules and feats can start.

They go for the GC your Muzungu does not show up for three days – because delegates were black he can keep them rotting in kabwe as long as he wanted.Later despite an injunction he proceeds to hold another GC shame on you Limata.

  19. Good article, the boat is sinking, HH is the answer. How do you have Nsanda, Chuungu to surround you? These are thieves, they are the reason a decent Zambian is suffering. The vision they talk about was a bad one. Sata’s vision was to be president not anything else. Change of direction is now so Zambians can at least have some fresh air. PF is stealing and still stealing, it was the reason Sata had to died to serve the suffering of so many families that have gone through hell on earth. Unfortunately when time has come you can not change it. HH might not best the best but he might have a heart for a common person, PF is a heartless party that is only meant for a family tree, you have all judges related to who, PS ,ambassadors etc the system of humankind was not designed that way.

  22. 2006 late president Sata called HH under 5. And 8 years later someone is still calling him Under 5. Come start reasoning. HH is the in coming president for the following reasons:
    1. His popularity is growing every day in all the 10 provinces.
    2. PF was Sata and Sata was PF. PF and Sata are no more.
    3. MMD is a divided home.
    4. PF has failed to manage themselves.

  27. PF was just submerged for a little while the late was being mourned, president Michael Sata. It wengt into submarine mode. It has now resurfaced and the opposition are scampering. Reason why even some known chiefs in the north are now turning around and saying they did not endorse UPND. MMD shall have their house in order by next week, and HH shall be third in the presidential race on january 21st’s results. We in the diaspora really do not know the foot race on the ground, we are deluded by fast food and hard work. Smile all is well, I love my Lungu, I love Nervous Mumba and I love HH, because they are Zambians and they all need Jesus.

  29. Critically look at USA presidential debate and you will find that a candidate is expected to know how to solve the most pressing challenges. Edgar Lungu keeps saying his cabinet ministers will do that. For the first time, Zambians have the clearest choice in this election. The best candidate is HH.

In all sincerity, how do people go for Lungu when we have well able and promising young men with the kind of calibre and astitudeness that can shape us into the future? We keep making similar mistakes year in year out; driven by empty emotions. Come on people; let us be reasonable for once…are we really destined into oblivion through our poor choices? Not now…I refuse mediocre leadership; no more changanya presidency. We cannot allow hopeless electorates to continue to decide our future. We are a big country with a much bigger dream.   34. people think analytically. HH has no support base in Lusaka, CB, Eastern, northern/ Muchinga, central and luapula. with these provinces as PF strongholds one can never win election in Zambia. PF defeated MMD on this fact apart from Eastern province. look at the number of voters in these provinces. HH has not shown that he has massive support in these areas. How many MPs has he in these areas and Zambian voters majority in these areas are illiterate who don’t even read what most of you know. Zambians vote on party lines and as such their minds are still on PF

I am sure the writer is trying hard and I don’t want to shoot them down for trying, but should really go as a public comment not as a by-lined story. Very poor Lusaka Times, badly written article.

    Now, please highlight the exemplary issue-based campaigning by HH. At least he is not attacking any person, his only attack is against govt. which is the right way to campaign.

    Southern:97%-HH

    Eastern: 60%-EL, 30%-RB, 10% -HH

    Western:70%-HH (Milutu factor), 30%:Shared between EL and RB

    Central: 65%-HH (Maureen factor), 35%: EL + RB

    Copperbelt: 60%-HH, 40% shared between RB + EL

    Lusaka:65%-HH, 25%-EL, 10%-RB

    Luapula:45%-EL, 30%-RB, 25%-HH

    Northern:40%-EL, 35%-HH (‘Ingwe’ Sosala factor), 25%-RB

    North West: 70%-HH, 15- RB, 15% EL

    Am no Tonga, I come from the Northern bit but I can tell you that PF are indeed losing power to HH’s UPND. The continuous never ending smouldering squabbles in both the PF and MMD are making their candidates even more unpopular and HH seem to be the only sober character candidate to bring stability and calmness to the country in the eyes of many Zambians…
