Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II of the Soli speaking people of Lusaka Province has implored the new government that will be ushered in the 2015 Presidential Elections to embrace the infrastructural plan left by late president Michael Sata.
And Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana says traditional leaders play an integral part in national development.
Meanwhile, Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo praised public service workers for their dedication to duty by ensuring the government operations continue to run despite the loss of a sitting president.
ZANIS reports Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II said president Michael Sata left solid foundation for social and economic development which his predecessor should be continued and completed.
Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II who is also House of Chiefs chairperson said this at her Makuyu Royal Palace when Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana and Engineers from provincial administration and Zambia National Service called on her in Chongwe District yesterday.
Mr. Muwana and his team was in Chongwe District to handover structural designs and check the site where government intends to construct her new palace.
The traditional leader said the general citizenry are highly expectant of massive development which president Sata initiated.
“The construction of modern palaces for traditional leaders is a government programme not a political one hence I don’t expect politicians to politicise it”, she noted.
Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II noted that developmental is a process and Zambians should reflect whether the country has made enough strides to development since independence.
“After the death of president Sata, l have been reflecting on a number of issues affecting ordinary citizens and one of them is the Mongu-Kalabo Road Project.Imagine government sends public service workers there and when they reach Mongu they don’t even know how they will get to Kalabo”, she said.
Earlier, Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana assured traditional leaders across the country of government’s commitment to continue with various projects initiated by president Sata.
Mr. Muwana explained that government is on course in finishing all the developmental projects which are at different stages of construction.
“Your Royal Highness, as government, l want to assure the nation that we are working hard as ever in order to better the welfare of our fellow Zambians”, he assured.
He said government is also alive to many challenges that most Zambians are still facing and government is doing everything possible to lessen their problems so that they can also live happier lives.
And in response, Senior Chief Nkomenshya Mukamambo II praised public service workers for their exemplary conduct during and after the funeral of president Sata.
She noted that while politicians are busy canvassing for votes, public service workers have continued to work and provide necessary services to Zambians.
President Michael Sata died on 28th October, 2014, in a London Hospital where he had gone for a medical checkup.
Acting President Dr. Guy Scott has since set January 20th, 2015, as a date for Presidential Elections in line with the Constitutional requirements of holding an election within 90 days of the incumbent’s death.
The Ruling PF’s candidate Edgar Lungu is facing competition from the opposition UPND’s Hikainde Hichilema, FFD’s Edith Nawakwi.
The rest are MMD’s Dr. Nevers Mumba/Rupiah Banda, NAREP’s Elias Chipimo, Green Party’s Peter Sinkamba and others.
Good observation. Sata always belived in a great road network system when in opposition. He delivered. Most of u bloggers are able to enjoy yo second or third hand cars because he put roads even in shanty towns where most of u live. Even as young HH moves around to spill his nonsense called manifesto, he uses the same road. That’s why PF deserves another. If not, all of u who think PF is a bad govtment and ask bushe tukalalya imisebo, make yo own roads, ungretful pipo
People will not make money from those infrastructures like Mushindo University.
Zambians need agriculture, unfortunately Nkomeshya’s PF never pay farmers.
PF had no plans THEY WERE JUST RAISING STUCTURES SO THAT THEY CAN BE SEEN to be working but alas ba loba yoyuma.
We r so indebted because of these guys. They just ve to go.
Its HH chabbe.
@nostradumus == University is an institution of learning and research to whose products go out- hopefully to produce wealth and leadership to a society. Iwe ufimwena mumbi ???
With due respect ba Chief, PF was buried in 11/11/14, Lungu has no vision for Zambia,
Sampa is miles away,
The only hope for Zambia is UPND and HH.
Viva Flight HH2015
@ Abana banfumu
How come you are the only one who seems to oppose everything good that PF has achieved in three years? Is blogging your fulltime job? When do you work if I may ask?
A farmer without access to good roads is a dead one. Why are the developed countries called developed? Its about solid infrastructure. With good infrastructure, everything falls in place. Another free advise from PF voter. PF will continue on this developmental path whether you like it or not.
Zambia has transformed for the better and its going to continue only with PF. Fortunately for PF, people are appreciating this too much hence the overwhelming support Edgar is receiving.
Viva Edgar Viva PF
Sata acted on infrastructure plans that were started under Mwanawasa. So, whoever comes in should emulate Sata in continuing the plans of MMD.
so true and people just can’t see it
The difference is the excessive PF borrowing which has put Zambia in debt. Mwanawasa had relieved us of debt.
Crane hahahahaha! Plans that were abandoned by RB. You know what Planning alone is not enough, one has to implement. Even the Bible attests to this “faith without works is dead”.
VIVA EL
Sata came to complete the rehabilitation works started by RB/MMD on the roads left by KK and complete the construction of new roads and infrastructure left by RB/MMD. That is why Nkomeshya said it is a Govt program and not political. The construction of the Mongu-Kalabo Road started long before Sata/PF took over from RB. Unfortunately the next President be it Lungu, HH or Nawakwi will not do much because Zambia is a Highly indebted country again due to careless borrowing.
“Unfortunately the next President be it Lungu, HH or Nawakwi will not do much because Zambia is a Highly indebted country again due to careless borrowing”
Ba UPND mwatampa ama excuses. mukanya when you fail to fulfil your 1000 promoises. we shall monitor you to the letter.
On his plan for income generation, HH should include the use of UTH and other public hospitals by his cabinet ministers including himself as oppossed to going to SA, Israel or UK. This way public health institutions will be well stocked with essential drugs, equipment and staff.
Africa is the only place in the world where a Captain of a Ship abandons Ship when ship full of people is in trouble!
Chieftness Mukamambo ushers kudos on PF government for building her a new palace. She is obviously ignorant that PF government has left government civil servant salaries frozen while Sata and his ministered increased their salaries 100 fold. Mukamambo is chair of House of Chiefs whose fellow chief palaces are so dilapidated that I have decided to rehabilitate our own chief’s palace. She is not even ashamed instead she is building a new palace because of being a PF cadre. Sata PF decided to build his retirement house even before any other retirement house has been built for a former president, not even founding KK’s retirement house exists. What selfish, what a shame to pander to the public about MMD and PF corrupt and decadence.
Its time to change now.
PF did NOTHING….!!!
WHAT DID THEY BUILD ? Nothing apart from naming roads after Sata.
HH will DEVELOP INFRASTRUCTURE tht will be able to “generate” income.
Flight2015HH.
Anderson Chisala, you must be blind. I can donate an air ticket to TB Joshua for you to go and receive you sight to see. Be serious man!!
voting for HH is like taking your child to a teacher who has never been to school. HH you cant clim a tree from leaves go down and start from there
Clearly you have no idea on what it takes to be a leader.
One can be a politician from ward chairman and raise to MP, but never be fit to be a leader.
And another can groom themselves for the task at hand.
VOTE WISELY
HH 2015
Our mother, the Senior Chieftainess Nkomeshya must be realistic and truthful. Mongu-Kalabo road is not a PF project. Chiyawa bridge named after President Sata is not a PF project.
The recently commissioned Kafue gorge generator is not a PF project. The Universities, schools, district hospitals, Health centres, Health posts, the new Airport, the roads are not PF projects.
They found some of these projects under implementation and planning levels.
The original projects for PF are the new Districts and Zambia Railways. PF only borrowed money to implement the projects.
The roads were given code names such as link zambia 8000 for them to look as new projects. These roads have created serious external and Internal debts for Zambia. Has been the major source corrupt activities for PF.
Aquilla yo hatred makes u blind to facts. Is it true that KK has no retirement house? Typical lying UPND cadre. His house was built along time ago
Foolish chief , very corrupt even in UNIP she was very ka informer . very dangerous woman , she loves many like any thing
Dont worry Chief. After the elections we will commence working on the mongu kalabo road. the machines are ready and so is the bitumen and other materials

3. enhancing manufacturing sector
4. enhancing agriculture sector
5. enhancing mining industry
6. de-cadrelization of the civil service
7. general improvement of social life.
Please use scale of 1-5 in rating these individuals. 5 being the highest score. Thanking you in advance for helping me to choose the right candidate on 20th Jan 2015.
I really care for my country & I would like to put governance of this country in right hands. Fellow Zambians, are you ready to help Zambia & Zambians redeem what is theirs? 50 yrs of wasted yrs!! Let us push together.
She is just a PF chief! Why mention parties when speaking about development and you are a chief supposedly of all? The Constitution which she obviously has not read or which she has no capacity to understand specifically says chiefs shall be non-partisan yet she is singing partisanship here!
This is the most corrupt Chief in Zambia. Her level of corruption beats even that of Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus for a few coins of silver. No respect for her.
And can people PLEASE stop talking about SATA now and leave him to rest in pease. They are tainting his image with their dirty-minds and hands. It is common knowledge that he always called them i.d.i.o.t.s and useless, which means he was different from them. It is so irritating everybody is keeps talking about Sata’s plans as if he is still alive and in power: don’t they have heads that think for themselves. If they have no plans of their own, which is what Edgar Lungu has very clearly told us, then they should be kicked out with the contempt they deserve. 20th January 2015.
Its Ok Chieftainess, His Excellency President Elect -HH will ably take care of your plea.
Team UPND is a responsible, focussed , vibrant government of men and women of integrity and virtue.Henceforth, assure your people of an inclusive ,listening leaders uniting zambia across sections.
Thank you Your Highness.
Every good zambians have to judge for themselves what they want , what saw under sata or to start selling campanies and removing some good laws to allow corruption , . Zambians should wake up
Well said madam!our beloved Sata did very well and us all well meaning zambians have seen that!as a result we’ll continue voting for PF!viva EL and viva PF!
Think about the word of prophecy from Malawi. The prophet warned that unless L negotiates or includes the white man, the crown he saw being placed on L may switch hands to HH. These are words of prophecy. The greed by Luo & Chibesakunda may trigger PF supporters to fulfil the prophesy by voting against L. This may be the beginning of the fall of PF popularity. While I appreciate that L is popular, he may lose out greatly in Eastern province due to RB’s recontest, just as much as L may lose Sampa’s PF supporters. Remember, what Sampa said that he would not mind working with UPND. From this, one would wish to consider the word of prophecy that has a warning. Am a PF addict & I campaigned greatly in Chimwemwe/ Kitwe. The kind of greed being portrayed by Luo, Chibesakunda &…
