ALLIANCE for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Frank Bwalya says he is supporting President Lungu because he has demonstrated political will to unite Zambians and give them a new constitution.

Fr Bwalya said during the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Radio 2 breakfast show yesterday that President Lungu has introduced politics of goodwill which should be supported and appreciated by all citizens.

He said it is surprising that the Grand Coalition has failed to appreciate President Lungu’s commitment to giving Zambians a constitution for which the coalition was established.

“It is surprising the Grand Coalition is alleging that I am against having a referendum as a means of adopting the country’s new constitution. All I am saying is that it will be more expensive to hold the referendum when provisions of the constitution can be amended through Parliament,” he said.

Fr Bwalya said conducting a referendum is expensive because it involves having a national census which requires a lot of money.

He said it will not be possible to conduct a referendum, which is likely to go to next year when the country is scheduled to have its tripartite elections.“Zambia does not have money to have four elections in the short space of time coming from having a presidential election, then to a census, a referendum and presidential and general election in the same year 2016,” Fr Bwalya said.

    • Fr. Bwalya, you are truly irrelevant to our political environment. All you need to do is become part of PF cadres dancing for the President at the airport and markets.

  1. Yes we kno that his execellency is promotin unity and we dont need imbeciless lyk u chi bwalya chumbu mwushololwa to tell us.

  2. Ba lungu don’t give this quack a job. At least that way he will continuously sing, and he will sing harder. This former priest has no class whatsoever.

    • Forget about lack of “class”. This presumed “humanoid” is void of any decency, honesty and morality. Just another treacherous beggar.

  3. While the barlostland agreement is not valid anymore . Just shut up bwalya and ask for a job. All those bandits in politics in Zambian government since 1991 .

  4. Please don’t stop calling him father bwalya . Just ka bwalya is a bandit and foolish just like the rest of those losers . Barlostland is not valid anymore

    • It’s not right to call Father Bwalya such names; he is reasonable and surely knows what he is doing. Let us all learn to use decent language.

  5. Let President Lungu nominate him and consign him to head one of parliamentary sub committee or committees especially on expenditure so he may deal with controlling Officers well. or send him as ambassador to Rome or Italy.

  6. Fr Bwalya is already proving to be a liability even to PF. I expect Lungu never to listen to such a man. He is now broke trying to ask for a job under Lungu. How can one start speaking against himself on the required constitution. He is proving to be non perfoming indidual. Let him ROT.

  7. …This uncle bwalya is senseless, useless and directionless. He really doesn’t know what he wants. If he resigned as Board Chairman for ZESCO, what other job does he need?

Now, listen hard uncle bwalya; pick up the phone and call nevers Mumba so that you too chaps can go for a retreat with a possibility of going back to the pulpit, you will do yourselves a great favour.

You have become completely irrelevant to the political dispensation of this great nation.

  8. Father Bwalya it is not about money it is about having a people driven constitution as long as there is political will money is not a problem donors can fund it but it is like you are now speaking for Lungu who can pass it easily in parliament because he has majority there again after 10 years we start talking about the same thing let us do it right once and for all it like buying chinese shoes every month instead of buying one expensive shoe which will last you for long.

  9. ” Every face tells story.” Anyone can tell ECL is a peace seeker just by his demeanor. If you doubt me, May I refer to our late boss MCS’s face. Yali ni selela oku olo seka uponoke..

  10. At times it is wise to keep quite! EL is in control give him space work are you the spokes person? Don’t drag him your nonsensical thinking

  11. @Jacob, please tell “these people” with online “Tuntembas” to remove the colonial era irrelevant document that they keep lining up on their sites after they benefited from stolen money from Zambia to study abroad.

  12. I don’t even know why media houses give this man an audience! Honestly it is very clear that he is singing for his dinner. How desperate can one be? How he was even on the ZESCO board I will never understand.
