Lwandamina extends Nchanga stay

Experienced coach George Lwandamina has extended his contract at Nchanga Rangers for two more seasons, days after being linked with a return to Zesco United.

Lwandamina reportedly agreed to rejoin Zesco for a fifth stint, but negotiations stalled before paperwork could be concluded.

On Friday morning, Brave Rangers announced that Lwandamina had committed his future to the club for a further two seasons.

After the contract signing, Nchanga President David Mukumbuta Mukelabai pledged the club’s full support to Lwandamina and his technical bench.

“We are delighted that Coach George Lwandamina has committed his future to Nchanga Rangers Football Club. His leadership and experience have been instrumental to the progress of the team, and we remain fully committed to supporting him and the technical bench as we prepare for the 2026 Transitional League,” Mukelabai said.

Club media officer Andrew Ukwimi said Lwandamina assured management and supporters that the technical bench would build on last season’s success.

“The club wishes the coach and technical team the very best in the upcoming season,” Ukwimi said in a statement.

Nchanga finished fifth on the Super League table with 50 points from 34 matches.
