Citizens First Roan parliamentary candidate Chishimba Kambwili says he still supports his party’s presidential candidate Harry Kalaba, but believes political momentum is currently favouring National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.
Mr Kambwili said he has not abandoned Mr Kalaba, but believes that the political environment suggests Mr Mundubile has gained significant support ahead of the August 13 General Election.
Speaking on the matter, Mr Kambwili said he believes God has chosen Mr Mundubile to lead the country.
Mr Kambwili, who is contesting the Roan Constituency parliamentary seat under Citizens First, maintained that his position should not be interpreted as turning against Mr Kalaba.
The remarks come as political parties and candidates continue intensifying campaigns ahead of the general election.
