National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has pledged to depoliticise the civil service and place young people at the centre of his administration if elected in the August 13 General Election.
Addressing a campaign rally in Nsama, Mr Mundubile said his administration would focus on changing the way government institutions operate by promoting professionalism and merit in the public service.
“When we form government next month, we are not just changing the leadership, we are changing the culture of how government works,” Mr Mundubile said.
He stated that his government would work towards building a professional, efficient and merit-based civil service capable of delivering quality public services to all Zambians.
“Our administration will depoliticize the civil service and build a professional, efficient, and merit-based public service that delivers for all Zambians,” he said.
Mr Mundubile also said young people would play a central role in his administration’s development agenda.
He pledged to create opportunities for meaningful employment while supporting youth entrepreneurship through skills development, improved access to finance and business support programmes.
“We will unlock your potential by creating opportunities for meaningful employment and empower you to start and grow your own businesses through skills development, improved access to finance, and entrepreneurship support,” he said.
Mr Mundubile said his goal is to establish a government that serves all citizens while promoting an economy that creates opportunities and improves the quality of life for Zambians.
He concluded by thanking the people of Nsama for their support during the campaign.
