Kalaba Says He Will Not Settle for Third Place in 2026 Election

Citizens First presidential candidate Harry Kalaba says he is determined to improve on his performance in the 2021 General Election and will not settle for third place in this year’s presidential race.

Mr Kalaba, who finished third in the 2021 General Election behind late President Edgar Lungu and President Hakainde Hichilema, said he is contesting the August 13 polls with the goal of winning the presidency.

“I came third in the 2021 general elections. I am not coming third again in the 2026 elections,” Mr Kalaba said.

Speaking during a church service in Katete, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs said Citizens First is confident of improving its electoral performance and believes it will receive a stronger mandate from Zambians.

Mr Kalaba is among the 14 presidential candidates contesting the August 13 General Election.

He has continued campaigning across the country, seeking support from voters and expressing confidence that he will emerge victorious when Zambians cast their ballots.
