PRO’S HIT LIST: Jacob loses on China debut

It was a mixed weekend for Zambians in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

CHINA
Striker Jacob Mulenga had a heartbreaking debut for Chinese club Shijiazhuang Yongchang who squandered a 1-0 lead to suffer a last minute 2-1 lost to away to defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande.

Jacob supplied the assist for Mario Rondon to score the games opening goal before Evergrande equalised on the stroke of halftime.

Jacob was substituted in stoppage time.

ISRAEL
-Striker Rodgers Kola played the full game in second placed Kiryat Shmona’s 1-0 home defeat against number five side Maccabi Haifa

-Defender Emmanuel Mbola played the full 90 minutes for seventh place Hapoel Ra’anana on Saturday in their 2-0 away mid-table defeat at Bnei Sakhnin who are just below them in eighth spot.

Striker Evans Kangwa came on in the 45th minute.

RUSSIA
Midfielder Chisamba Lungu played the full 90 minutes in fourth from bottom FC Ural’s 3-0 away loss to leaders Zenit St Petersburg on Saturday.
