“Njonginjo” appointed after Kitwe United fire coach

Share

FAZ Division One North side Kitwe United have launched a search for a new head coach after firing Paul Mulenga.

Mulenga, who has coached Roan United and Mufulira Blackpool, joined Kitwe last year.

He took over the hot seat from Jack Kafusha.

Club chairman Gabriel Akayombokwa reveals that ex-Chingalika star striker Chisala “Njonginjo” Mwandama has been named interim head coach.

“We have parted company with Mr. Paul Mulenga and Chisala Mwandama is now our acting head coach,” Akayombokwa said.

“We are searching for a coach but we are not in a hurry,” he added.

Mwandama is being assisted by ex-Kitwe trainer Andrew Katebe on a part-time basis.

Kitwe are fourth on the league table with 18 points, four behind leaders Lumwana Radiants, after 10 games.

The Buchi Boys are prepairing to host Vincent Mutale’s Chindwin Sentries of Kabwe this weekend.

  1. The only curse Zambians suffer from is ignorance!!
Black Africans generally have very little knowledge of their past, they have often been duped into believing lies.
One of the most powerful lies that hinders people of African descent is the the White Man’s Religion.
