Zambia search for their second competitive victory in 2015 on Saturday in a must-win 2016 CHAN qualifier against Namibia at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Zambia has won just one out its eight competitive games in 2015 that came in the Cosafa Cup Plate semifinal in May when they beat Ghana 3-0.

The side has suffered four defeats and three draws since January at the Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

Zambia’s only other wins this year have all come in friendlies of which they are three in total.

Chipolopolo head into the match against Namibia trailing 2-1 against from their preliminary round first leg qualifier played on June 21 in Windhoek.

A draw on Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium will see them eliminated from the Rwanda qualifiers.

George Lwandamina, who has a draw and a defeat at the helm so far since replacing Honour Janza on June 8, needs a 1-0 win this weekend to advance to the final round of the Rwanda qualifiers in October.

Winner will face Mozambique and Seychelles for a place in the Rwanda tournament.

Mozambique head to Victoria on Saturday with a healthy 5-1 first leg win.

  1. How soccer standards have fallen!

The one thing that put zambia on the map is gone.

In its place, we have Jameson and Chibuku (when no one is looking).

  2. i think ba faz need to make a rule which states that “the only training that national team shall be having with only consist of knocking the ball into the net, no jaggling, no dribbling no running, just kick the ball pa goal, you fail you pack” lets face it our team seems to knows everything but not where the goal posts are full stop

  3. @Owen,its not true,Zambia has a lot of untapped talent outside LSK & CB -ie-in Rural Areas! An overhaul of FAZ can greatly benefit Zambian Soccer & its fans without Kalusha,Erick,Kasengele at the helm!
