President Lungu has promised to take development to every part of the country. President Lungu said he is a President for all Zambians and has a mandate to development the whole country regardless of the people’s political affiliation in a given area.

The President made the promise on arrival at Mansa Airport yesterday en-route to Senior Chief Kalasa Mukoso’s area in Samfya district where he held a public rally to drum up support for the PF candidate Anthony Kasandwe for the forthcoming by-election slated for August 8, 2015.

Mr. Lungu said the PF believes in power being with the people because without the people, there could be no government.

He said though the PF was strong in Eastern, Northern, Muchinga and Luapula Provinces, he is determined to take development to all the ten provinces of Zambia because he is President for the whole Zambia.

President Lungu called for humility from the leaders of PF and urged them to listen and do what the people of Zambia want because to be a leader means to be a servant of the people and doing what the people want.

He said the people voted for the PF because they want the leadership that is anchored on servant hood for the betterment of people.

Mr. Lungu said there could only be one leader at a time in any organization or institution.

The President was welcomed by Luapula Province Minister Brigadier General Benson Kapaya, Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya, PF Provincial Chairman Nixon Chilangwa, District Commissioners, Heads of government departments and other party leaders from Mansa Central and Bahati constituencies.

  1. A Jamasoni Lungu, you will spend your 2 year unsuccessful term promising development to whichever poor unsuspecting Zambians you meet.

Get to work and rove your worth for once/ We havent seen anything tangible you have achieved since coming into offfice

    • Get to work and prove your worth for once. We haven’t seen anything tangible you have achieved since coming into office. Load shedding, rising fuel prices, cost of living, weakening kwacha, unemployment etc, these are issues you should be addressing

    • A clever change in the usual over used ransom script of saying vote for PF in exhange for development.

    • Lungu is smart. He knows that to get votes one has to come up with a simple and relevant theme #MyTribeIsZambian. I want that sweatshirt asap!

    • By development I’m sure he means shopping malls full of south african shops!!! I think he should say he is bringing development or markets for South african Farmers and manufacturers. Mr President why don’t you tell the electorate when your administration will invest in manufacturing companies in Zambia.

    • @Lungu, please take off that styupidy sweater. Next time see you in T-shirt (I am not Lungu am EDGAR”.
People who decline their tribe are idyiots, and we call the “Impumba mikowa”.
The other day he went to mock Chitimukulu a Bemba Chief, today he says Tribes are useless, lets call our selves what was named after Zambezi river and say “My Tribe is Zambian”. What a FOOOOL of a president.
Can Obama wear a T-shirt “My race is American?”.

    • PF uses violence in opposition party strongholds only to coerce people to vote for them.

Where they are sure of victory they pretend to be a non-violent party to hoodwink some useless voters.

Mark my words Kasama will be peaceful also unless GBM poses a real threat to their cling to the seat.

    • Anthony also looks like yet another drunk MP. A youthful thug.
People from Samfya should vote Mwansa, the FDD candidate. Not because Nawakwi has overworked there, but it is because she is proving to be a real core.

    • Hmm, is this not the same sweat-shirt that Dora Siliya was wearing during the campaigns for the Petauke by-election? What is going on A Lungu? Esther should know about this.

  2. Arrogant and lying PF is what Barack Obama was talking about.

They just do elections and call it democracy but they know zero about rule of law, accountability and strategic development.

  3. This is laughable: “my tribe is zambian”. A poor way of seeking unity among people. A misrepresentation of facts. We have 72 tribes in zambia, period!!!

  4. REPEAL ARTICLE 79 OF UPND MANIFESTO; We need another leader

Article 79 of the UPND manifesto reads:

“A party president shall be eligible for election for an indefinite period subject to the constitution, provided that a party president who is elected Republican president shall only serve two terms that shall run concurrently with the term of office as president.”

I urge UPND Spokesperson, Garry Nkombo, MP, Douglous Syakalima MP, and other eminent leaders in our Party to look at the above close carefully. It should be repealed and thereby made redundant to enable us afford others a chance to lead the party. Losing 4 times is not a joke. I might be taken for a prophet of doom but prevention is better than cure. We still have time.

    • Your choice of MPs leave much to be desired
You should have been looking at how you can help the party carry the winning goal than debating changing presidents of a party at the 11th hour, what a UP D supporter!
I am not bothered by your illogical thinking for I know for sure you ain’t UPND

    • When he goes to Eastern province he promotes woko ni woko, such language coming from a president is very damaging and difficult to undo. The current neutrality in language in other areas is only aimed at damage control as well as portraying other leaders otherwise. Truth be told, its too late baba because people already know the truth. Zambians are not that stupid.

  5. This lungu guy! Has never stopped campaigning since he took office, if he’s not campaigning, he’s going to other countries begging, if not he’s falling in public

    • I think EL’s major problem is not knowing his job description. He thinks he is at plot 1 to enjoy himself such as becoming a first class world tourist and amassing wealth through allowances and two hefty salaries and he wants to continue as long as possible. He knows that the only way to ensure continuity is by being in a perpetual campaign mode.

Unfortunately, the areas he is ignoring such as the economy, load-shedding, University closures etc are the areas that could have automatically campaigned for him if only he cared a little.

    • @ Chiti only in Africa and especially in African countries where docility is exalted that a leader can hold two portfolio’s and get remunerated for both without law makers questioning! I wonder how Lungu shares his time working as president and minister of defense since both jobs are full time!

The whole bunch in parliament and the president all together have no understanding of their job description and only concerned in amassing wealth for themselves. They all do not really inspire and debate is mediocre shunning issues of utmost importance for improving the economy and promoting/restoring human dignity.

  6. How can you promise something you are already mandated to do…its like a policeman promising you to arrest criminals…Lazy bum Lungu is a real joker…is that now he has stumbled on Eurobond he is getting excited.

    • Maybe what he is trying to say is that unlike some of the presidents before him he will carry out the mandate fairly – without favouring and/or sidelining certain areas of the country. This remains to be seen.

  7. Keep it up presdo u are right on truck. let them continue ukulambwazi mean while you are working. Ba kasanga baleteya next year in semptember.

  8. Rhetoric at its best, there is no tribe called Zambian, what about wako ni wako? I am a proud Tonga in Zambia!

  9. A LUNGU A NA BWERA KU CHOKA KU CHAWAMA! TU JAMESON TULI MU KA BAG. NOMBA LELO MUKUKAMBAKAMBA TOO MUCH A MR. JAMESON. DRUNK WITH POWER PLUS JAMESON?

    • A devil is a devil there is no choice or option for devil, better not even getting to knowing the devil! Thus for me the adage @ Epilog has no meaning.

  10. Mr Lungu, I will not condemn what you are wearing and I will not insult you. However, I have a question for you. In 2011 you promised people that they would be more money in their pockets, the people were indeed hoodwinked and ended up voting for PF. How are you going to face them in 2016 your excellency sir?

  11. I am voting for PF again am seeing development in my area. Jealous down. This is what we all need from any government.

  12. I like the hoodie the President is wearing. My advice (unsolicited) to him, Kambwili and Davies Chama is this; Don’t wrestle in the mud with the pigs. They like it, and you both get dirty.

  13. But a Jamison also, why does his mouth bear such a cunning semblance to the feminine genitalia? You bet it stinks like one too!

    • Ngombala masipa, i guess you are so used to wanking in feminine genitalia that stinks! Don’t spew your sg!t here!..you moron! Not all women stink like the dirty ones you fnck!

    • You are cursed! How can you speak with such hate and disrespect of a peoples’ leader? Respecting people is a good thing even when you don’t like them!

    • Just like that blog name of your, Nyau lacks imagination! Atase imwe ukulatuka bakateka. Amano ububi kwati mwana wakulila mulubansa uwabula ifunde!
