  1. “Zambia remains a stable Country?” Is it in terms of Democracy? Or Economically? And again to who?Zambians or Foreigners? Well that’s food for thought. Let these Germans bring with them heavy duty 24/7 Generators or elsewhere they will employ thousands and within no time lay off thousands. The environment does not favour investment currently.

    • Why Edgar likes wild animals and musicians? Is that a lion he got last week from Luangwa park? Showing decorations is duty for Ba Ester Lungu.
The crisis in Zambia is not because of energy, it is because Sata died, and PF boat got stack on dry Kariba dam.

  2. look at the photo why have such stuffed animals in state house and talk about conservation of wildlife…the Germans are laughing at the irony of all this!!

  3. His Excellency is proudly showing his new Bic pen in the breast pocket of his new (paid by tax-payer) jacket. Really a “sharp” (lol) dresser!!!

  4. Firstly, Investors or Investment in Infrastructure is needed. Aid from IMF is painful hence a good move of not going that route. It is amazing how you all are so negative about this. Firstly find out what sectors the German investors are interested in before you start raising your alarm bells. The Energy Sector, especiallu renewable energy is the way to go. If you want to help Zambia economically, get off your high horses and be that local investor in the energy sector.

Here is a few off the head stats: 10MWp Solar Energy Power Plant will fit on a 18 – 20 hectares of land. 1MW Solar is approximately, US $1,2m. You then have to get a 25 year PPA and a GSA from the Ministry of Energy. Sources of finance are DBZ, IFC, DBSA, AfDB, PTB Bank, plus other commercial and investment Banks…
