Midfielder Lubambo Musonda is set to join the Zambia Under-23 camp in Senegal on Monday night.

Lubambo missed Zambia’s opening 2015 CAF Under-23 Cup Group A match against Tunisia on Saturday in Dakar due to a league commitment back at his Armenia’ club Gandzasar.

And striker Patrick Ngoma who was taken off in the 2-1 loss to Tunisia is set to return to training in mid-week.

“Lubambo arrives tonight at 21h00,” FAZ spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe said.

“Ngoma has recovered and the splint has been removed from his leg and he will start training on Wednesday.”

Zambia play South Africa on Wednesday in a must-win penultimate Group A match in Dakar.

Both teams have zero points following their match-day defeats.

  1. Lubambo is coming only a few hours before a must win match. He missed the opener. Who allowed the club to delay our player? Is this not looking like a costly mistake? Should heads roll?
