Chipenzi told to step down, accused of applying to stand on UPND ticket

Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi has been challenged to step down from his position following reports that he has applied to contest Siavonga parliamentary seat under the UPND.

PF Mandevu Constituency Chairman Joseph Tamba alleges that the ruling party has information that Mr. Chipenzi has applied to contest the Siavonga seat on the UPND ticket.

Mr. Tamba says Mr. Chipenzi will do well to leave the civil society organization and join active politics.

But Mr. Chipenzi says he will make a formal announcement if at all he will express interest in contesting any seat.

He lamented that it is unfair that some media houses have already blacklisted him from coverage because of such unsubstantiated reports.

With about 6 months remaining before elections some one is supposed to know weather they will stand or not. just be bold enough and declare. You cant have it both ways.

Those are tongas for you. Even if Jesus Christ was to stand against a cow in SP and that cow was standing on UPND, the cow would carry the day. Just know that any tonga name is currently associated with UPND. No wonder PF was getting zero even in areas they had representation. These are the mujahadeen of SP led by their terrorist (Ichilema). The PF has always campaigned to remove Chipenzi from FODEP because he exposes the PF’s poor governance which continues to impoverish the people.
The corrupt PF doesn’t like strong opposition and NGO leaders.

Chipenzi has been opposing govt at any given oppotunity and we new he was supporting UPND because he is tonga, instead of waisting time in FODEP which is an NGO let him come out openly and declare rather than playing cat and mouse with his un warranted attacks on govt. He is not a credible executive director.

Rumour milling by Mr. Tamba of the ruling party there. Going by the story aired on QFM associated with Mr Tamba is interesting and one wonders whether this is one of the works of solar hammermills? Can Mr. Tamba retrieve the letter i have written to UPND requesting an adoption and give to QFM and any media House? Why is it that people want to make rumours around me so prominent? Mr. Tamba would do the nation good to publish the letter i have written to UPND. If he doesn’t have a village and grew up in town, I do and always interact with my fellow villagers and allow them the right to speak their minds as guaranteed in the constitution.
