Numba demands focus from Zanaco in final leg

Share

Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba wants his players to remain focused ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup second leg match of the first round at home against Harare City of Zimbabwe at home.

Numba’s Bankers have a 2-1 advantage from the away first leg match played in Zimbabwe on Saturday.

He said the tie was not over.

“We have to psyche our players so that in the next game (return match) we can do better than we did in the first leg ,” Numba said.

The two sides meet in the final leg on March 20 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

“As at now the fight is still on. We have not yet secured a place to the next round because we have the second leg,” he said.

Numba added:”We have to prepare adequately so that we can win that game. We don’t have to relax.”

The overall winners between Zanaco and Harare will face Stade Gabesien of Tunisia or AS Kaloum from Guinea in the second round next month.

Gabesien lead the first leg 2-1.

  1. Mr Numba, am from Zimbabwe. The news is, Harare city has thrown in the towel and they are bringing young inexperienced players. So just relax. Dont even train. PLEASE.
