PF North Western Province Campaign Manager Stephen Masumba says there has been an overwhelming response from women willing to participate in next year’s elections.
Speaking in an interview Mr Masumba said women in the province have come on board after the pronouncement made by the President assuring them of 40% places for nomination.
“The people in the Province are very happy and the women have come on board, they are applying for certain positions and we are certain that we will reach the 40% reserved for women. We are also proud that young people are applying and as you know North Western Province is known for young leaders as you can see from the likes of myself,” he said.
And Mr Masumba has praised President Lungu for the developmental projects that he has taken to the Province.
He said President Lungu ought to be commended for the projects that he has launched in the Province within the short period that he has been in office.
He said in the last one year President Lungu has visited North Western 7 times and that he is the only seating President who has frequently visited the province so many times.
Mr Masumba has since called on the people in the province to ignore the prophets of doom who have been lying about the PF in the Province and vote for the party as they can see for themselves the projects which have been launched since he came into office.
He also said UPND should stop lying to themselves that the Province is their stronghold as people have seen that the PF means well and they will vote for the party to ensure that they continue on the development path that the province has started.
It’s a well researched fact that Pf will continue after August.

I had the same thoughts. Clearly PF has no respect for that province. Otherwise how can the party choose Masumba, a convicted fraudster and someone without integrity, as its campaign manager? Anyway PF has a very slim chance of winning in NWP. Little wonder they have chosen one of the riff-raff as their campaign manager.
CONVICTED MEANS SOMEONE PAID FOR HIS/HER WRONG DOING AND IN MOST CASES THEY HAVE CORRECTED THEIR LIFE STYLE. SO, YOU THINK SINCE MASUMBA HAS BEEN CONVICTED HE SHOULD CEASE LIVING? IN WHOLE HONEST, THE COLLEGE WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE PART OF THE BLAME. BUT, THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT HE PAID FOR HIS SINS AND YOU SHOULD LET HIM LIVE OR LET THE PEOPLE OF HIS CONSTITUENCY REJECT HIM THROUGH A BALLOT BOX. LIKE SOMEONE HAS SAID, THE BAD MAN IS ONE WHO CAN’T FACE ELECTIONS IN HIS POLITICAL PARTY. A SIGN OF POTENTIAL DICTATORSHIP IF ONE HAD TO BECOME NATIONAL PRESIDENT.
Who is worse in a democracy a president who doesnot want a convention or a convicted felony.
This article is insulting to women, to say the least.
Let me get this:- A young defenseless woman was attacked and stripped by PF Cadres on Youth Day in full view of the Vice President and the Police, who up to now have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the PF attackers. Even Women for Change (WfC) organisation condemned the attack among others. But today, all of a sudden women are overwhelmingly happy with the status quo?
Is this PF North Western Province Campaign Manager Stephen Masumba one of the attackers or what?
Was Masumba drunk or what? What development has the PF taken to Northwestern Province? The party for drunks will lose terribly in my province. I don’t what the PF gives its leaders, which responsible for the perpetual hallucination.

Its people like Masumba who have failed even good leaders. Like Pilato has said these guys’ ambitions go beyond Lungu’s term in office. So its for Lungu to make decisions on what his legacy will be.
Just imagine Lungu was to stand on a podium today & say “yes we have problems but this is how I intend to sort them out. I will start with allowing more freedom to you my country men so that together we implement these plans”. Just imagine.
Whether UPND like it or not,PF shall win seats in N/Western and Western on 11/08/2016!!!if PF can manage to field strong candidates in constituencies where those mmd mps are(who have over stayed in parliament,Elijah Muchima,Kabinga Pande,Sara Saifwanda or whatever u call her),then PF will surely win!recall Charles Kakoma of UPND was defeated by Christabel Ng’imbu of PF because he over stayed in Chavuma!!BUT IT WILL BE A BATTLE FOR UPND TO WIN A SEAT IN KNOWN PF STRONGHOLDS LIKE EASTERN,MUCHINGA,NORTHERN,LUAPULA,COPPERBELT AND LUSAKA URBAN!!!GO PF GO!!
