SUSPENDED United Party for National Development (UPND) Musiotunya Ward Councillor Ziwa Ziwa together with 218 members from the opposition UPND and Rainbow Party in Livingstone have defected to the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).

And the PF in Livingstone have launched the District Mobilisation under the slogan ‘PF Youths No Violence Dot Com campaigns’.

Speaking during the Launch at Zambezi Sports Club in Livingstone on Saturday, Southern Province PF mobilisation Chairperson Brave Mwetwa said only the PF had an agenda run the affairs of the country and bring development to all corners of the nation.

Mr Mwetwa accused opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema of preaching tribalism in the Southern Province adding that the UPND were busy canvasing the province telling people lies that there was no PF in Southern Province.

“Go and tell everyone that the PF in the province is intact and making positive headlines in the province and please those close to HH should go and tell him that very soon.

“Very soon, HH will start having sleepless nights and will suffer greatly because of PF’s success,” Mr Mwetwa said.

He said the PF was a growing party in the province as evidenced by the number of defectors that were ditching their party to join the ruling part because of its developmental agenda.

Mr Mweetwa added that the people of Southern Province had embraced all political parties and were ready to give the PF a fresh mandate because it was an attractive party.

Mr Mwetwa accused the UPND leader of being a dictator by refusing to go convention as stipulated in their party manifesto.

“If HH wants to be president of the republic of Zambia, let him try after 40 years. The UPND are claiming that they are the most organised party in Southern Province when they have failed lamentably to have elections at Branch, Ward, Constituency, District and National levels.

“Since Hakainde Hichilema became the president of UPND, they have never gone for a convention. Tell me what is he scared of? To me Hakainde Hichilema is a dictator because if he wasn’t a dictator, he would have allowed his party to go for a convention,” he said.

PF acting District Chairman John Mukosho appealed to the members to go flat out and campaign for the ruling party as well as preach the message of peace as championed by Republican President Edgar Lungu.

Meanwhile, PF Youths No Violence Dot Com Ambassador, Maxwell Chongo said PF youths in the country had vowed to walk the talk by preaching the message of peace and saying no to all forms of violence.

Mr Chongo said the message from the Republican President was very clear and the PF Youths had embarked on a countrywide campaign to education youths on the need to promote peace before, during and after the general elections.

And speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mr Ziwa said that God had already prophesied that President Edgar Lungu would be given another fresh mandate to rule the people of Zambia.

    • Suspended for what? Stealing? Birds of the same feathers………… Does he even have G12 certificate? From his face, he definitely doesn’t.

    • THOSE ARE PF FALSE HOPES. PF WILL BE SURPRISED ON 11 AUGUST. WE ARE ALL FULLY AWARE THAT EDGAR LUNGU HAS RELEASED HUGE SUMS OF MONEY AIMED AT BUYING ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE TO PREACH A FALSE GOSPEL OF HOPE IN PF, YET EVERYBODY KNOWS IT TOO WELL THAT PF POOR GOVERNANCE IS THE VERY REASON WHY ZAMBIANS ARE SUFFERING TODAY. GENTLEMEN HERE WE ARE STUCK AS A NATION BECAUSE OF THIS CORRUPT PF GOVERNMENT LED BY THIS CLUELESS AND VISION LESS EDGAR LUNGU. LUNGU IS A LOOTER. LUNGU IS SELFISH. LUNGU IS HEARTLESS.

    • BA KANYAMA, NO VIOLENCE TO YOU IS TOTAL RUBBISH. IT SEEMS LIKE YOU THRIVE AND DELIGHT ON VIOLENCE. TO YOU TOTAL SENSE IS WHEN YOU SEE PEOPLE FIGHTING AND KILLING EACH OTHER ON BEHALF OF POLITICIANS, NOT SO? WHAT A SHAME, THIS GUY LOVES VIOLENCE.

  1. Youths lets vote wisely……Mr ziwa is before the courts of law for fraud and other related crimes and expecting him to bring massive development to livingstone…sure!

  2. Reminds me of Stephen Masumba, when he had cases to answer the chap defected to PF knowing that his case might be slowed down. Good move Mweetwa!

    • Steven Masumba, gabriel Namulambe, Dora Siliya and Liato did the same. PF seems to be a shield for thieves against prosecution. As a lawyer, the president (ECL) should not fall for this trick the way Sata did.

  3. Mewetwa just go and join your fellow thieves in PF.

And ask your drunkard friend to pardon you out of jail.

We have heard all these PF lies before and you do not have to repeat them.

  4. There is no dignity where there is hunger as people will sell their souls for crumbs! Without listening to the address by the so called councillor and Mwetwa its easy to tell they have been coached on an agenda! Mind you Zambians can not be drawn back to 40 + years politicking!

  5. Lungu Is Like Solomon Who Built Temple Of God.Pliz Southerners Don’t Be Left Out, In Boat SPaces Are There Just Come In.

  6. #Spark Jarrow, my thought too about this guy. Yes he reminds me of Masumba and he will live to regret. and he should leave God out of who will win in August. some of the so called prophets have said that HH will win and the Nigerian say Changwa will win. i think some have bee paid to prophesy a lie

    • Yes it’s not a factor but have you ever head of cb defecting to upnd in numbers? This should ring bells in your thick brain and cateraxed eyes that Pf is still a force to recogn with.

    • HH Techilema, the people on the Copperbelt don’t need to parade themselves to show that they have defected to UPND, just wait for August and see how PF will gnash their teeth.

  7. This Ziwa Ziwa what good fruits will he bring to PF apart from the evil and criminal ideas of selling plots illegally. He knows that this is the end of his political career and has to jump on onother ship. This is how people get possessed with the spirit of being recycled politician by jumping from one ship to onther on grounds of running away from pending court cases and disciplinary action. Please, send him back to UPND to repent before he infuriates other decent political parties.

  8. PF seems to be gaining ground in Southern province.Brave Mweetwa is right when he states that UPND have never held elections in the province at any level. How do the people of Zambia trust such kind of people to manage the affairs of a state in a democratic dispensation ?

  9. The reason they don’t hold elections in Southern Provinceis simple.UPND believes in tribalism and it is the reason they were registering underage children because on the ballot paper, they just look out for Janza(a stretched hand) and not capacity of the person contesting. It is a value in this part of the country.

  10. Let zambians wait for prosecution of fraud cases awaiting Ziwa Ziwa in courts of law before they hear him speak. Crossing the bridge before reaching the shores is cowadice of the worst kind. PF is an established violent party, others are serving jail terms for murder = EVIDENCE.

  11. Alice Simango. Remember her crying at the Column Coal Mine due to the Chinese treatment of Zambian workers. Making them work without PPE.

  12. Warning to UPND. If you curve of getting into government keeps going up please do not accept defectors from PF, MMD et al. these are bad seeds who have been around sin UNIP times. We want a clean crop of leaders to move this great country forward not recycled elements bent on putting food on their tables through political office instead of serving us the common people.

And to the rest of the Zambians, lets not these political parties in Power for a long time like we did with MMD. UNIP we had no choice because it was a one party system. Now we common people have the power of the vote. If a party is not performing, we kick them out quickly. You will see wonders when we vote people in office. They will tend to perform Knowing that they will be kicked out if they don’t perform.

  13. THis is how it should be.HH has no message on violence as he believes it will bring him to power. He is a presidet wannabe.

  14. Suspended for fraud and you decide to join a group of fraudsters and start throwing stones at those who wanted to discipline you. Just go in peace and stop barking like a dog being chased for stealing meat.

  15. We are interested in issues not tribalism tag. I woyuld rather vote for the so called tribalist if’

    Interest rates can go down
    Corruption can be controlled
ALL essential commodities prices can go down

    • Yes yu can vote for your fellow tribalist because you are assured that he will take care of your interest.

But what about those who know they will not be thought of by him, should they also just vote for him so that they disadvantage themselves. Put yourself in their position if at all you care but I know you can’t care, you only care about your tribe

  16. PF GOVERNMENT, PLIZ PLIZ, WE HAVE ALWAYS SUPORTED YOU GIVE US OUR PLOTS IN DORA HILL, NDOLA.

REMEMBER THIS IS A YEAR OF ELECTIONS WHERE YOU CANNOT ALLOW NDOLA CITY COUNCIL TO PUNISH PEOPLE THE WAY THEY HAVE DONE AFTER GETTING THEIR K 500.00 NON REFUNDABLE FEES.

MR KAMPYONGO WHEN ARE WE GETTING THESE PLOTS? REMEMBER YOU PROMISED US TO SORT OUT THIS ISSUE.

  17. thieves keep flocking to the pf for fear of the unkown..no corruption and violence in UPD..Max Chongo is a vrey violent chap!!

  18. Its a dream to think that a very popular party like PF can rule for only 1 five year term!!DIDNT UPND SEE HOW PEOPLE DANCED NAKED ON THE STREETS ACROSS ZAMBIA WHEN PF WON ELECTIONS IN 2011 AND 2015?then ask yourselves in upnd why all PF strongholds like Luapula,Northern,Muchinga,Lusaka and Copperbelt urban are quiet and intact?its because all PF leaders in those areas have mixed with people on the ground and know very well that PF is strong very loved and hence strong to retain power in 2016!!!GO PF GO!!

  19. good luck mate, this country is a democracy and you have the right to chose where ever you want to be. I think if you are an indiciplined person you have joined the right party.

  20. This UPND will not know what hit them, they are too stubborn to listen or learn. You don’t win elections by not learning new things do you?

  21. I can never vote for HH coz he is a tribalist together with his bantustans.

The hatred they harbour for other tribes is too intense. We CANNOT trust them with power until they change and begin to love others period
