Fwayo-fuelled Power sink winless Blackpool

Power Dynamos recorded their biggest win of the 2016 season when the thumped last place Mufulira Blackpool on Friday at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Hero on the day was striker Fwayo Tembo who sunk winless Blackpool with a brace and one assist.

Fwayo’s contribution propelled Power from 6th to 4th on the table to move them with-in four points of leaders Nkana.

Blackpool made a false start when Christopher Chola was unfortunate not open scores in the 11th minute when his goal-bound effort was blocked by Benson Sakala.

Fwayo settled Power’s nerves when he punished Blackpool’s poor defence in the 23rd minute to fire in from close-range a cross from Kennedy Mudenda.

He turned provider in the 30th minute for Larry Bwalya to score from a similar position to see Power take a commanding 2-0 lead into the break.

Fwayo completed his brace in the 46th minute before Mudenda put the result beyond doubt in the 51st minute after racing past four players.

The defeat was promoted Blackpool second worst since they were humbled 5-0 away by defending champions Zesco United on April 30 in ndola.

Power have 21 points, one behind Zesco and Zanaco who are 3rd and 2nd respectively.
