Struggling Lumwana Radiants on Sunday burst into wild celebrations after holding leaders Nkana to a frustrating goalless draw in a Week 13 match played in Wusakile.
Lumwana keeper Joel Kanyeba put up a man of the match display to deny Nkana goals in this FAZ Super Division match.
Kanyeba prevented Nkana from scoring when he brilliantly stopped Joseph Musonda’s 21st minute free kick on the line.
The ex-Power Dynamos goalkeeper further denied Walter Bwalya a chance to score with a fine save fifteen minutes from time.
Despite being on the receiving end for most part of the match, Lumwana equally had some fantastic chances to put the ball behind the net.
Just after six minutes Lumwana’s Moses Nyambe saw his powerful shot from close range stopped by Nkana keeper Fredrick Mwansa.
Despite drawing Nkana have opened a two-point lead at the top of the table with 27 points from 12 matches.
Nkana’s lead was on Saturday reduced to a point by Zanaco who defeated Red Arrows 2-0 to move to 25 points.
Meanwhile, Lumwana stay second bottom with now 10 points from 12 matches.
