Ndola outfit Gomes Wanderers have cut Konkola Blades’ lead at the top of the FAZ Division One Zone 2 to two points.
Gomes thumped Copperbelt Buffaloes 2-0 on Sunday and took advantage of Konkola’s slip at Zesco Solwezi.
Ex-Napsa Stars striker Clarence Berrington registered a brace when Gomes beat Copperbelt Buffaloes in a Week 13 match in Ndola.
The victory pushed Gomes to 25 points, two behind leaders Konkola who forced a 1-1 draw at Zesco Solwezi.
Elsewhere, FQMO Mining moved into third place after securing a 2-1 win over Mansa club ZNS Lwamfumu in Solwezi.
FQMO now sits 21 points from 12 matches played.
In other games, Roan United were held to a goalless draw by Kitwe United at Kafubu Stadium and Kalulushi Modern Stars silenced promoted Chingola Police 1-0.
