    • Lungu can not be distanced from what is happening because he is the one who appoints the ZRA commissioner, the police General inspector, the Judges, Generals in the army/ZAF/national service etc. All these wings operate under the instructions of their boss. So, no excuse he can stop all the mess his cadres are doing by enforcing these wings to do their job right. Unfortunately Lungu is ignoring that. What do you think people will think of lungu? Hardworking or failure? Where was ZRA to realise now that The Post has not been paying their tax. This is purely instigated by him. If the post has not paid, ZRA should have adhered to the law by following the right channels. You don’t just wake up and decide to close the company, there are procedures to follow. No one is above the law even…

  1. Useless…Useless Leave Lungu out of Mmembe’s business. What kind of an accountant and a lawyer is this same Mmembe who cannot adhere to book-keeping principles.

    • For all that nuisance to stop, the powers to the president must be reduced. The public wings and organisations should be left to operate independent of the president’s inuedos

  2. As much as I do not support PF and their policies, the issue of the post news paper with ZRA is no excuse to accuse Lungu of being against press freedom. It is true that the post has not been emitting its dues to the tax collector which is a crime period. The post must clear its dues and there be no harassment from the tax collector. I’m sure the Post is not the entity being pursued for violation of the law, except they have the liberty to complain through their widely paper. I would urge ZRA to convert the money being owed into shares as one way to recover the money. This would result in the Post being own by both the private and public. I know it sounds complicated but it is doable. I cannot see how else they can settle the dues!

  3. @4 Mwanamfumu, ZRA is not into running businesses but collecting taxes according to the law period. And what makes you think I want to own shares in the Post tissue paper?

  4. Lungu pretends to be a humble Christian but by closing the Post he has clearly shown his true colours. He does not care if several Zambians lose their jobs and livelihood following the closure of the Post thru his directives to ZRA. ZRA has illegally closed the Post. At law ZRA is entitled to recover tax due by garnishing the Post’s Bank Accounts but cannot close a business. Afterall ZRA’s interest is to be paid the outstanding taxes from current operations and cashflow. ZRA cannot at law liquidate a going concern to get what is owed in taxes. Lungu has closed the Post to silence the opposition parties. This an integral part of Lungu’s Election Rigging Processes.Lungu has to be stopped from rigging these elections and another 5yrs under this visionless, corrupt and thuggish dictator…

  5. Imwe please don’t blame Edgar jameson its ARV that has taken over the nervous system of Edgar Chakolwa Vodka Kaloba Wrungu.
