Nkana relieved at ending 4 game winless run

Nkana are relieved after ending a four-match winless run with an emphatic 4-1 win over Forest Rangers in Kitwe on Saturday.

Nkana forward Simon Bwalya believes the victory over Forest in Saturday’s round 17 of the FAZ Super Division was a turning point for Kalampa.

Nkana had never won since May 21 when they beat Nakambala Leopards 1-0 in Mazabuka.

Interestingly, the Wusakile club failed to score in their last four matches in which they lost twice and forced two goalless draws.

“It was not easy when we experienced a drought of goals and failed to win matches,” Bwalya said.

“But now it is good that we have started scoring once again. I am happy,” he said.

The win over Forest pushed Nkana back into second place with 31 points from 16 matches.

Nkana are six points behind leaders Zanaco who sits on 37 points.
