Kabwe Warriors rise to 6th place

Kabwe Warriors on Sunday jumped into sixth position on the FAZ Super Division table after stunning Nchanga Rangers 1-0 in a delayed Week 17 match at Nchnaga Stadium.

Experienced midfielder Martin Daka scored after 25 minutes to haunt his old club Nchanga in Chingola.

Warriors moved up from eighth into sixth place after increasing their tally to 26 points after 17 matches.

Nchanga remained stuck on 23 points from 17 matches.

Meanwhile, visitors Napsa Stars reportedly caused the abandonment of Sunday’s other Week 17 match against Lumwana Radiants after walking out of the pitch in protest over a disputed a late penalty.

The referee was forced call-off this match in the 87th minute after Napsa players left the pitch immediately Lumwana were awarded a late penalty when the score-line was 1-1 at Lumwana Grounds.

Vernon Sikalinda scored for Lumwana on 10 minutes before Napsa’s Keegan Zulu levelled nine minutes later.
