Edith Nawakwi arrival at Mulungushi Conference Centre

THE UPND and PF should be ready to accept the results of the August general elections when they will be shocked that FDD has carried the day and should not attempt to make the country ungovernable by rejecting the will of the people, Edith Nawakwi has said.

Ms Nawakwi, the FDD presidential candidate, said the only way to preserve peace after the coming general elections was for Zambians to reject political parties that were violent and were maiming citizens they purport to have the desire to govern.

She said it was not correct for the PF and the UPND to continue claiming that they had won the coming general elections before voting; stating that an election is only won after the last vote had been counted and declared.

Ms Nawakwi has declared that there shall be a miracle in the coming elections and that the FDD which she referred to as a ‘‘little David’’ was likely to cause a huge upset by coming out victorious because God had planned it.

Ms Nawakwi, who was one of the invited guests at the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) farewell ceremony for Synod Bishop, Reverend Mutale Mulumbwa, said her prayer was that there shall be change of government and direction after the general elections.

She said her main preoccupation should Zambians elect her president would be to fight poverty which she said was as a result of failure by successive governments to decentralize the governance system of the country.

Ms Nawakwi said there was also lack of love for the people in the current leadership and advised that Zambians should frown upon leaders who did not believe in God.

She said some political leaders were only using the name of God to dupe the electorate to vote for them but that such leaders would not be able to govern the country according to wishes of God because they lacked love and sincerity.

“My prayer is that there shall be change of government and direction after the general elections. I pray that there shall be peace, love and unity among Zambians but we can only achieve such virtues if Zambians are going to reject political leaders who are violent in nature.

‘‘There is a little David in the corner and those claiming victory before Zambians have voted will be shocked but either the PF or the UPND will have to accept the results. The only way to avoid plunging this country into chaos is to reject the two warring political parties and vote for the FDD,” Ms Nawakwi said.

Ms Nawakwi said the only route to poverty eradication in Zambia was through decentralization because the scourge had been more pronounced in the country’s rural communities.

She said once the governance system was decentralized, rural communities that had been suffocating because of lack of resources would be able to have resources and develop.

Ms Nawakwi however said development would continue to elude Zambia without peace, love and political stability.

    • Her message is the same as a female impregnating a female or a man being impregnated by a female.
Maybe that’s why she said it will be a miracle.

  3. That is a night mare madam. And nightmares are bad you wake up sweeting. For thinking like that you are actually more dull than the chap in kalingalinga who has not been to grade 7 and knows they cant win. He who knows not, but thinks that he knows is a fool. He who knows not and knows that he knows not is a wise person.

  4. Well everyone has a right to say or write their opinions just as we do here in this blog. Nawakwi, too, has an opinion whether right or wrong. All we can do is to wish her the best of luck, like many other presidential candidates. Anyways why would one be going round the country without such a ‘dream’. Its campaign time. Keep it up madam

    • kci, you have no respect for women, mothers, daughters and sisters. If Hillary can aspire to be President why not one of our Mothers? If Margaret Thatcher can rule UK why not Edith?

As for using analogy of a Prostitute, if a man can profess to change after sleeping around before and after marriage why cannot a prostitute. Nobdoy, including male prostitutes like you, get into this of their sweet volitions. It is all about society’s norms and pressures.

I urge all my fellow Mothers, sisters and daughters to vote for fellow woman and shame male-sluts of the like of you along with your Hyena Hyena who has a long string of thefts and manipulations.

  7. Male chauvinists are out online spewing venom. Abash male chauvinists. I urge all fellow women folk to shame the male dominated *****ic society by voting in Edith Nawakwi. Time for a woman to rule in Zambia as is the time for Hillary to rule USA.

  8. This Woman must have eaten loads of her own swindled “Carrington G.M. Maize”, her brain has seriously shrivelled as a result.
If Edith Nawakwi becomes Zambia’s President in August 2016, Kambwili will become the next Pope of Rome.
In the meantime Edith, keep on hallucinating, & smoking Nyahope- (Mixture of A.R.V’s, Dagga, & Carrington maize).
    HAPPY DAY’S!!!

  9. NAWAKWI, IT IS YOUR SELFISHNESS WHICH WILL SPLIT THE VOTES FOR THE OPPOSITION. YOU KNOW IT VERY WELL THAT YOU CAN’T WIN THESE ELECTIONS, COME RAIN OR SUNSHINE. YOU WILL SHOCK YOURSELF AT THE RATE AT WHICH YOU WILL LOSE. YOU AND YOUR DEAD FDD OR MUDIIDI IS NOT AN ATTRACTION TO ANYONE. IF SOME PEOPLE COME TO YOUR RALLIES, THEN BE INFORMED THAT THE REASON THEY COME TO YOUR RALLIES IS SIMPLY TO BE ENTERTAINED, NOTHING LESS, NOTHING MORE. YES CHANGE IS COMING. YES WE ARE READY TO VOTE FOR HH AND THE UPND TEAM. VIVA HH VIVA! VIVA CHANGE VIVA! VIVA UPND VIVA! ZAMBIA FORWARD.

    • In as much as i agree with you on Nawakwi, i totally disagree with you on the use of the word we. How many votes do you carry? Not everyone supports your candidate and not everyone wants change… We just need to pray

  10. I used to have lots of respect for Edith but I now have a low opinion of her. How can an opposition party leader publicly attack other Opposition leaders from other parties? To me Edith comes across as a treacherous leader not to be trusted. Edith wanted to be Lungu’s Running Mate but was rejected. If Edith was to choose between supporting UPND and PF and their leaders she would choose to align herself with Lungu than HH. This defines her character and integrity. Edith has no principles and cannot be trusted. She comes across as a snake with two heads and is as sleepery as an eel. Edith and ECL are birds of the same feathers. Very treacherous indeed!
