Miles Sampa has dispelled reports that he along with Mulenga Sata last week wrote a letter to President Edgar Lungu in which they pleaded to go back to the Patriotic Front.
Strong rumours have emerged alleging that dismissed State House Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama was heard in an audio recording saying that Mr Sampa and Mr Sata have written to State House pleading to re-join the party.
In the same audio, Mr Chilubanama is alleged to have mocked UPND Vice President Geoffrey Mwamba saying his truck business is grounded due to lack of business since he left government.
It is also alleged that Mr Sampa is now in debt after he failed to pay for his trucks and now want to get back into Government.
In the same audio, Mr Chilubanama is also alleged to have Chishimba Kambwili’s health condition who has since been treated in South Africa for a heart condition.
It is alleged that he suffered heart complications after he learnt that President Lungu has left him out of his latest cabinet he came up with after his three-day stay in Mfuwe.
But Mr Sampa has rubbished the reports saying there is no element of truth in them.
He said he has not written a letter in the last six months or so.
“For the record; I have not written any letter in the last 6 months or so,” Mr Sampa said in a brief statement posted on his Facebook page.
He quoted the words of Suzy Kassem saying “Never judge someone based on the words of another. Instead, study the motives behind the words of the person speaking.”.

If Miles Samoa wants to be member of PF again, he is free to do so quietly.
Samoa does not need to apply because there are no membership cards in PF.
All cardres in PF simply associate themselves with the party and do not possess any membership cards.
Myles Samoa should do the same, just like any other cardre. He will not be different from the rest of the cardres.
You only apply when you want to contest a position, not membership.
If he wants he can keep it a secrete until 2021, then just vote for PF during that year’s elections, as majority of PF supporters do.
Reading some of the comments, truly make me wonder what kind of people we are as Zambians. Trucks, backdoor deals, debt, Broke?? is all we talk about. facts are if our country has to move forward, such leadership whose interest is to jump from one party to another like Amaulee, just to plunder the country down should be shamed.

The behaviour of Chilubanama is appalling. There’s no way a public officer can be spewing out sensitive data in bars. That’s so careless of him. This is a lesson to EL not to appoint drinking mates to sensitive positions.

From all this,I can only feel unhappy if Lungu would not find a fitting job for Kambwili in his cabinet. The best would be to keep him away from Ministries that require him to talk to the public too often for example,Ministry of Defence. He did a good job for Lungu and the PF to get the votes they got! He was like the Chief Campaigner! Even where we heard that a parliamentary candidate under PF was not doing well,he went there to jack up voters for them. Ingratitude is bad is always repaid one way or another! Yes it could be a shock to leave Kambwili of the new cabinet much as we need to see new and technocratic blood!
The reason Kambwili has been left out is in part due to his strong popularity in PF and that he attempted to mount a coup by mobilising a bemba faction within the party. This was especially after it became clear that Lungu was not considering him as a running mate…when he indicated that he would be choosing a woman as his running mate. You will recall this was about the time posters started emerging saying ‘Kambwili for President’. So there is quite some mistrust within the two hence ECL not keen to have him in his cabinet.
@10.1 blabla, well understood! Politics is full of scheming but the best for Lungu is not to turn his back too quickly on those that look ambitious but have toed the line till he is re-elected. That has its time and I believe if he has someone else in mind to succeed him, he could still play that game say one and half years (at the latest) before elections by asking the the VP to retire and he appoints the one he feels deserves public exposure for election as President and then he leaves much of the duties to that new VP to continue appearing and selling themselves to the public! I also would not support Kambwili to be President, but he is still a good politician in fighting for votes when the atmosphere is filled with propaganda from opposition side!

Just by merely glancing at the photo of HH and Miles Sampa, it is easy to speculate that HH was too smart for Sampa (plus GBM, Nevers Mumba and Mulenga Sata). HH used these Bamba halfwits to amass Bemba votes for his presidential bid. But the reality is that the violence perpetrated by UPND in Southern Province was more inflicted on the Bemba residents in that region.
It is obvious that according to HH and his die-hard most inner circle, the Bembas voters galvanized by GBM are not an important factor in a Government that HH dreamed of if he had got the presidency. HH was indeed too smart for Sampa, Nevers Mumba and GBM – the halfwits.
