WEEKEND SCORECARD: Kola recalled by Wedson

Wedson Nyirenda has handed a late call-up to striker Rogers Kola of Israeli club Hapoel Ra’anana.

Kola ends his two-year exile from the team after replacing Kaizer Chiefs striker Lewis Macha who is still nursing an injury that he sustained on August 30 during Zambia’s training camp before the September 4 game against Kenya.

And seven out of the nine foreign-based players have joined Zambia camp in Ndola.

Collins Mbesuma, Winston Kalengo, Nathan Sinkala, Rainford Kalaba, Kabaso Chongo and Kennedy Mweene were all part of Monday training together with Kola.

Chisamba Lungu of FC Ural in Russia is expected on Tuesday.

Lille defender Defender Stopilla Sunzu is surprisingly expected on Wednesday despite warming the bench in Saturday’s French Ligue 1 home game against Nancy that his club won 1-0.

Meanwhile, Zesco United midfielder Misheck Chaila has been brought back into the team just 24 hours after he was dropped together with nine other domestic based players.
