  1. This bum has just put 15 people on GRZ payroll …to see into something everyone knows the answer to.

Zambians wake up from your docility!!

    • What about a commission to investigate the thieves reported in the Auditor General’s report? Don’t you think this will be better use of resources than to find out why the Tongas expressed their freedom of choice?

    • Do they even time to clean that “sworning center” the former state House? I am even amazed that they didn’t make the ceremony at heroes stadium.
2 years under Edgar so much time wasted. People are in darkness, fires all-over because of electrical disruptions. No water. Fuel and toll fares have doubled, and your PF is busy disgusting violence.

  2. How possible is it that our highly trained Intelligence, Special Branch and Zambia Police have not given a detailed report to the President for what caused violence before and after elections? Do we have enough money to pay the Commision members to give us a report where the outcome is already known? Is it really rocket science to tell the causes of violence and voting pattern? It looks like the tightening of belts is relative, depending on which angle you are looking at the problem our economy is going through. Common phrase by Consultants ” give me your watch, I will tell you what time it is and then you pay me handsomely”

    • @kgosi the report of who was involved in electoral mayhem was given to ECL before, during and after elections. The same names appeared on the list: max and his cronies plus a few known ministers. Now with ICC showing interest one must deflect it to HH and his pals and this will be the findings by this commission.

    • INTELLIGENCE ALREADY TOLD ECL THE CAUSE BUT BEING BIASED HE DOES NOT WANT TO BELIEVE THAT IT WAS PF CADRES THAT HE ARMED THAT CAUSED IT ALL.

  3. How many seats did UPND win in northern and muchinga provinces? How about voting patterns in eastern province? Without upnd Zambia is a one party state and with compromised judiciary Zambia will start exporting refugees instead of welcoming them.

  4. This govt has missed an opportunity to show the citizens that despiste removing fuel subsides its also sacrificing by not constituting a commission of inquiry to look at what we all know.Just even by swearing the beneficiaries who will become rich overnight at the expense revamping the economy Zambia has lost millions in allowances.

  5. U r rite GM. This is the most selfish move based on employing pipo coz of political support BT many pipo ar losing jobs coz of privatization, graduates ar languishing on streets jobless, cost of living abnormally high in this poorest nation which has poor minds leading! Shame!

  6. THE VOTING PATTERN & VIOLENCE HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE PARTY IN POWER. UNDER MWANAWASA, THIS NONSENSE HAD CEASED. VOTING PATTERN IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE; IN 1991, SOUTHERN PROVINCE WAS ONE OF THE PLACES CHILUBA GOT HIGH NUMBERS OF VOTES, WHILE UNIP DESPITE BEING WHITE WASHED STILL MANAGED TO WIN IN ONE PROVINCE (EASTERN). UNIP CONTINUED DOMINATING IN EASTERN PROVINCE UNTIL 2006. DO U KNOW WHY MWANAWASA APPOINTED RB AS VICE PRESIDENT? IT WAS IN ORDER TO CHANGE VOTING PATTERN. IN 2011, PF GOT LIVINGSTONE SEAT (THOUGH DUBIOUSLY). IN THE LAST ELECTION, ECL GOT 16, 000 VOTES FROM ONE CONSTITUENCY IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE, CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A NAME OF CONSTITUENCY WHERE HH GOT OVER 10, 000 VOTES IN EASTERN, MUCHINGA, LUAPULA.

  7. COMING TO THE VOTING PATTERN, PARTICULARLY THAT OF SOUTHERN PROVINCE. FIND TIME TO GO ON THE GROUND AND ASK THOSE PEOPLE WHY THEY VOTED IN THE MANNER THEY DID. I TOOK TIME TO ASK THEM. THE REASONS THEY HAVE GIVEN ARE NON-TRIBAL AS MOST OF US THOUGHT. THE MAIN COMPLAINT CONCERNS THE TRIBAL INSULTS THAT CAME FROM HON. CHAMA WHICH WERE REPEATED BY HON. KAMBWILI & HER MAJESTY MUMBI PHIRI. CHIEFS FROM THE PROVINCE CAME TO SEEK AUDIENCE WITH HEAD OF STATE, DID HE LISTEN TO THEIR CRY? THEY CAME TO HIM BECAUSE THEY RECOGNIZED THE FACT THAT HE IS OUR FATHER AS A NATION. HE NEEDED TO SHOW LEADERSHIP ON THIS MATTER. THIS IS THE REAL THING THAT COSTED ECL VOTES IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE.

  8. COMING TO THE VIOLENCE, IT IS SAD THAT THE FOCUS SEEMS TO BE ON NAMWALA. UNFORTUNATELY, THE REALITY IS THAT THERE WAS MORE VIOLENCE PRIOR TO ELECTIONS THAN POST ELECTION. IT WILL FOLLY OF ANYONE TO PRETEND THAT VIOLENCE WAS ONLY IN NAMWALA. IN STUDYING THESE CASES, LOOK AT THE CAUSE EFFECT RELATIONSHIP. PERPETRATORS OF THESE ATROCITIES MUST BE BROUGHT TO BOOK ON BOTH SIDES IF WE MEAN TO CURE THIS CANCER

  9. The focus is Bweengwa and Namwala.
    Among the possible cuases are:
    1. Dundumwezi disease (tribalism)
    2. Pastoralism
    3. Excessive heat (Sinazongwe)
    4. Jeaslous
    5. etc

  10. Dear Commissioners,
President Lungu has just sworn you in. Here is my first submission. The cause of political violence is very clear. The cause has been there for all to see for quite some time. Kaunda nearly threatened to resign as president because of drunkenness of our nation. Go in every compound and you will see what I mean. People are drunk by 10:00hrs. Chibuku packs are littered everywhere because they are allowed to be sold in Tutembas. Remember the ban of Tujilijili? These are back in the form of Chibuku packs. You wonder why there’s political violence? Control beer drinking. This has gone out of hand. Youth can easily be bought with a can or pack of Chibuku or kachasu.
