  1. In serious countries police training takes 2 years, they learn about protecting the public and property….. and human rights. In Zambia all they learn is how to shoot a gun and beat people.

In Zambia it only takes 6 month to train a policeman, a baby spends more time in the womb that the time a policeman spends at Lilayi or Kanfisa. And then we get surprised when policemen are brutal and trigger-happy

A review of police training is needed.

  2. Wonderful, i noticed that most of the had their head shaved. As clearly seen in the pictures where they are waving their hats. Was that a requirement.? Also Loved the Folkers canoeing in those two pictures…

  3. Zambia Police service is highly trained and very competent. They have performed very well in peace keeping operations from as far as Kosovo, Haiti,Eastmor, Darfur,Liberia etc.If you want ask the Nationalities of some of the countries were they have worked and how they are appreciated. They have also trained and helped to form Police services of some of these countries.

  4. If it was a service for the communities they are to be deployed in it would mean well. The groups recruited from 2011 are terror squadrons meant to silence opposition at all costs. The Best service happened during the time of Mwanawasa and corruption then was at owner’s risk. Now it looks institutionalized and they do it without shame. Police detentions without charge beyond 48 hours is not uncommon.
Where cops are supposed to be looking for bad elements in society, they are busy looking for contravening bus operators and road tax defaulters…..what a country….Kampyongo needs to taste his own medicine one of these days. Don’t forget He almost downed Maureen Mwanawasa’s Chopper in Shiwangandu! He is in charge of these ‘wolves’ and will unleash them at will! Look out!

    • Spot on…in fact it is during his reign that Magande and Mwanawasa himself sold off KCM pankongole, underpricing it that we have now turned into a laughing stock. What did he do right. Always praising the dead!!! Muleikalafye @Kasongo Wabaluba.

  5. why point guns at a woman? no wonder these chaps like to shoot at innocent women like Mapenzi. Some of the paras look like hiv-aids victims

  6. I love PABTA city………I wish all of the nective minds can see how WINNERS are made.We need PARAMILITARY OFFICERS in this country.
