Minister of General Education Dr Dennis Wanchinga says his ministry has not issued any policy statement to allow the distribution of condoms in schools.

Dr Wanchinga says he has continued to hear reports by some sections of the media who claim that the ministry has begun the distribution of condoms in some schools which he says are not true.

He says the ministry has not yet released a substantive policy or given the directive on the distribution of condoms in schools.

Dr Wanchinga has since dismissed as mere speculation reports that the ministry has allowed the distribution of condoms in schools.

The minister was responding to social media reports that the ministry has allowed and begun the distribution of condoms in schools.

  1. D M wrote and I quote “There is virtually no need to demand freedom of speech for Mushota as a compensation for the freedom of thought which she’s proven incapable of using. She, just like everyone, is not entitled to her opinion, no!. She is entitled to her informed opinion. No one is entitled to be stupid. The verbature she has been raving off on this site is to say the least most shameful. She is the kind Wodehouse said have just about enough intelligence to open their mouth when they wanted to eat, but certainly no more. For Mushota, opening it to give her imaginery Nick a blow job and swallow his cum is the only ther function besides eating she should be opening her damn mouth for” DM got game.. this hoe has been put exactly where she belongs

  2. aka FWASHI TURNED INTO A POLITICIAN ZOONA , HOPE ALL THOSE BOOKS U READ STILL STICK IN YOUR BRAIN. U WERE A GOOD LECTURER AT UNZA AND IN NAMIBIA I MISS YOU SIR HOPE U BRING POSITIVE CHANGES TO THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IN ZAMBIA , GOD BLESS U

  3. @Anyoko….Dr. Dennis Wanchiga was never a lecturer in Namibia. He worked for NCSR in Chilanga and SADC in Gaborone Botswana before joining UNZA. Just putting the record straight. Thanks

  4. OK thanks for letting us know that kids in schools are eating live under pf

  5. Please we are a Christian nation don’t let this madness spread to our schools; we can’t not allow distribution of condoms in schools. Don’t confuse the children, there is time for everything (Eccl 3:1-8) as for now these children must concentrate on their studies and abstain from sex before marriage. This has been the church’s message and it will ever be the best solution to fighting against HIV & AIDS. God bless Zambia!

  6. It is more valuable to reject traditional taboos about sex by incorporating Sex Education in schools as part of standard curricular than simplimplifying the issue to condom or not to condom? If condoms on their own are such a big deal , why is the issue of females taking pills a non-issue? Or is it assumed? Before they learn about smoke they have to know about the fire, the dangers and value of the fire. We are now in an age where sex education must be part of the syllabus. Our fight against an onset of ever evolving STDs and quest for great healthcare is enhanced by well informed sexual habits and practices.
