Police have charged Peter Siwale, 33, who allegedly shot dead his wife, Charity Namukoko, together with her alleged lover, Andrew Chibesa with 2 counts of murder.
Police Spokesperson, Esther Katongo has confirmed the development in a statement to ZNBC news in Lusaka today.
Ms. Katongo said Siwale, a resident of Meanwood area, is expected to appear in court soon.
Siwale allegedly committed the offence last Friday, July 28, 2017, at his home, before handing himself over to the police.
Chibesa has since been put to rest, while burial for Namukoko is also expected to take place,

It is a very unfortunate thing to have happened to the deceased. As men let us retrain ourselves when faced with situation like that. If it was me, I should have just divorced her and remarried…CAPWAAAA!!!!
@Shikulu. I am not trying to justify the murder, but I think it is quiet a painful experience to discover that your spouse (wife or husband) is doing it with somebody else. To discover that one of the children you have been cherishing and lavishing with all sorts of goodies is not your child or your husband has fathered a child with some woman while you are married. To make matters worse, despite your being faithful, the chap brings in the diseases and you end up being infected. Very painful indeed.

@ Panda, i agree with what you are saying BUT most of the times making fast decisions while emotionally distressed, human beings error a lot.
look at this the man killed their mother in the presence of the children, thats a harsh mark writen the lives of the children, its a life time horror indelible mark. i know the guy planned it and must have heard about it the past. his children are without mom and dad, thats too hard for them i am certain. and also hes in jail, no bail. note there are many pipo, men and women who have found themselves in such situations, many of them; but killing is not a good option, Divorce would v been better
@puyo c kambali, maybe you are right. You see, I used to think that people who divorce are not serious with life and they are cruel to the children. I am seriously having second thoughts about such matters after these murder incidents and their causes. Maybe we need to be communicated with our spouses on what we consider to be RED LINES in our marriages while things are still rosy. You cross this line, with or without children, church or no church etc, you go your way and I also go mine while we are still alive. Instead of everyday saying sweetie and honey, some serious talk is needed! Just thinking mudala.
