Kasama residents pleased with govt’s efforts in improved lives in the area

A cross section of Kasama residents has described the ongoing construction of township roads in the district by Government as a milestone in the development of people’s living standards.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues Arnold Chabu says the commencement of phase two township roads in the area will certainly improve the social economic activities in the area for the better.

Mr. Chabu said the roads will further increase their accessibility to various social amenities existing in the district.

And his colleague Steven Chileshe also says the phase two construction of roads by Government is a step in the right direction adding that he is happy that the road works being witnessed in the area is a true picture of what the PF government ‘s pre-election campaign promises.

And another resident Mwape Kasula also observed that the new roads are likely to stand a test of time because the contractor engaged China Geo has a traceable competency.

Meanwhile Kasama district commissioner says Government is undertaking the construction of 15 kilometers township roads in the district and over 20% percent of work have been done so far
Mr. Kashiwa also expressed happiness with the quality of work being exhibited by the contractor.

He said the contractor has since assured Government that works are likely to be complete before the onset of the rain season.
