Property worth thousands of kwacha lost in an inferno in Luwingu district

Goods worth thousands of kwacha have been destroyed when unknown persons set two thatched houses alight in Chikoyi village in Chief Chipalo of Luwingu district of the Northern Province.

Luwingu District Commissioner Patrick who confirmed the development in an interview said unknown people torched the two houses whilst the occupants were fast asleep.

He said the incident happened around 02:00 hours on Sunday yesterday an no life was lost.

And the victims Beauty Mpundu a widow and Mable Bwalya all of Chikoyi village have appealed to well-wishers to help them with beddings, mealie meal and school uniforms for their children.
