Power Dynamos are relieved to bounce back from a four -match winless run that they capped but rising to 2nd place on Saturday with a home victory over Nakambala Leopards.

Power beat Nakambala 2-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe to join Zanaco on 50 points whom they have supplanted from 2nd place only on goal difference and are three points behind leaders Green Buffaloes who lost 3-1 away at Lumwana Radiants on Saturday.

Zanaco will reclaim 2nd place on Sunday if they beat bottom placed City of Lusaka on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Power’s win comes a week after they lost 1-0 away at Konkola Blades.
Power had prior to their win over Nakambala collected two draws and as many defeats.

“We had to come back to the drawing board and worked very well on this one because we really needed the three points,” Power assistant coach Anderson Phiri said.

“We needed to close the gap and we are still in contention so we will take it a game at the time and now focusing on the Nchanga game.”

Phiri is standing in for Danny Kabwe who is away in the UK on a coaching course.

Goals from Jimmy Ndhlovu in the 42nd and Kennedy Mudenda in the 62nd minute handed Power their first league win since August 26 when they beat Napsa Stars 3-1at the same venue.
