Agro dealer welcomes construction of new fertilizer plant in Lusaka

An Agro dealer of Nega-Nega area in Chikankata district of Southern province, says the scheduled construction of a Fertilizer manufacturing Plant worth US$5 million dollars in Lusaka by the Export Trading Group Investment, will improve the agriculture sector in Zambia.

Mr. Stephen Mubita says this vital Fertilizer manufacturing plant is a very important project which should be supported by the farming community in the country.

ZANIS reports that the Agro dealer said this in an interview in Chikankata district in Southern province today.

Mr. Mubita said Zambia has lacked behind in terms farming inputs production adding that the coming up of the Fertilizer manufacturing company, will greatly help in improving the agriculture sector.

He said the development is welcome and that it should be supported by all well-meaning Zambians.

Mr. Mubita said it is high time government allowed the private sector to set up Fertilizer manufacturing plants in the country in order to continue boosting the agriculture sector which is the back bone economy of this country.

He said Zambia has a lot of vast natural law material resources used in the manufacturing of Fertilizer which has remained untapped for so many years now.

  1. And why not? Just because one minister says there is no land does that mean Lusaka shouldn’t have any factories? I was expecting you to question the construction of malls instead all over the place.
