Former Chipolopolo skipper Elijah Tana has been engaged as an assistant coach at FAZ Division One side Kansanshi Dynamos.

Club Chairman Mark Silimi confirmed on Tuesday that Tana has joined the Kansanshi bench led by head coach Israel Mwanza.

Tana and Mwanza once played together at Nchanga Rangers.

“We have brought in Elijah Tana as Israel Mwanza’s assistant coach. Israel has just been promoted to the position of head coach,” Silimi said.

Tana had been club-less since leaving Nchanga seven months ago.

“We have given them a season long contract,” Silimi said.

“This bench should be able to achieve our goal of winning promotion to the Super Division,” he said.

Kansanshi missed promotion by a whisker last season after finishing second to Kitwe United, who secured promotion on the final day of the season.

      What are you talking about???

  1. I would have loved to see the team playing in the Elite division, at least that was my dream since I played in and faithfully wore the mining colors of kansanshi Dynamos Football Club. The article doesn’t tell what happened to former head coach David Solopi, who many like me didn’t trust would have led the team to the promised land. But just like, Moses, in the Bible, the Israelites were led into the land finally by Joshua. Wish Coach Israel & Tana all the best. Dynamos Push.!!!

  2. you can even bring in Josse mourinho as long as it is the same old selfish exco at the center of thing you are bound to fail close to 8-10 years same old ideals but different coaches question your conscience and help the people of solwezi watch elite football by doing the correct thing which is resigning let others bring in new ideals.
