President Edgar Lungu has concluded his campaign trail for the mayoral candidate Miles Sampa urging voters in Lusaka district to vote for the PF candidate.
President Lungu said people should vote for Mr. Sampa because he was a well-known candidate who has shown his good leadership skills when he served as Matero Member of Parliament
The head of state added that the PF leaders were founded by the people and will always deliver to their expectations.
He noted that citizens should support good things because he is for the people of Zambia and means well for the nation.
Mr. Lungu said that citizens should give him and his party chance to finish his tenure of office adding that those aspiring for positions should wait for 2021.
The President said that there is a problem of leadership in the country because everyone wants to be president.
He said voters need to vote for the PF candidate who will be reporting to him directly adding that it will ease the working relationship.
Meanwhile President Lungu added that the construction of a police post in Kanyama constituency will soon be completed and service the people.
He said as the minister of local government announced, government will decentralize local government and every constituency will have a sub civic center.
The president further stated that all the constituencies in Lusaka will have a civic center and will ensure that offices are built.
He he added that those political parties that have been losing consistently should go back to the drawing board and strategize.
Mr. Lungu said despite PF emerging victorious in all elections it does not mean Zambia is becoming a one party state.
He said democracy has come to stay in Zambia and advised the opposition to take stock of their weaknesses and work on them.
Meanwhile PF secretary General (SG), Davies Chama said Mr. Sampa has been a Matero member of parliament for five years and there is no doubt that he will deliver when elected mayor of Lusaka.
Mr. Chama said Mr. Sampa will bring development in the district because he is not a stranger in politics but has worked before.
He added that he is the right candidate standing on PF and he is hopeful that the party will emerge victorious.
Mr. Chama said that once Mr. Sampa is voted for, Zambians are assured of development in the country at large.
The whole of these last 10 days this lazy sausage has been campaigning, then tomorrow he flies off to RSA for a 2 day summit Zambia is not a member of…its laughable that he is still talking of being given a chance when he has no vision for the country…Lazy only comes to life when their is campaigning and dancing when their is a scandal he cowers away behind Amos Chanda without shame.

I think succession planning is certainly NOT a topic of discussion among the party leadership within UPND.
Rumour has it that any attempt to discuss succession doesn’t sit well with Southerners in the UPND party. HH and the tribal clique have amassed too much control and have eroded traditions of collective leadership. Just look at the arbitrary abuses of power within UPND – total abomination. The problem with UPND is the lack of a succession plan for the Presidency of UPND. It is the only mainstream political party in Zambia to be led continously for more than two decades by men from the same clan.

Uk and other European countries still have uneployment in large numbers too and some family generations have been habitually on benefits from generation to generation.
