Zesco United are out in Mazabuka seeking to extend their lead in the FAZ Super Division as they face Nakambala Leopards on Saturday.
Zesco, who sits on 74 points, will extend their lead to eight points at least for a day should they beat Nakambala as their closest rival Nkana will only play their match against Red Arrows on Sunday in Lusaka.
Nkana have 68 points after 34 matches played.
The defending champions are coming from Wednesday’s goalless draw at Nkwazi on the same day Nakambala lost to Zanaco via a 1-0 score-line.
In other games, third placed Green Eagles host Forest Rangers in Choma targeting to cement their position in the league.
Eagles have 65 points as they host 12th placed Forest who are 23 points behind them.
Green Buffaloes face Napsa Stars in the Lusaka derby with the hope of bouncing back to winning ways.
Third placed Buffaloes have picked a point from their last two matches a record that has seen them tumble from second to fourth place in the league.
